When we started driving the Taxi Prius (it sat in the front yard for 2½ yrs, driven once around the block and a few times across the road to make room for things to be shuffled around) the first drive was from Wollongong to Mannum, the way I went (and got hopelessly lost) covered 1700km ... fairly heroic in a car that had no plates and transfer rego and had not been driven all that time. On the way over, I started to see Gen 2 Prii everywhere.
When I bought the first write off MG4 and had it delivered to the workshop yard (hidden behind the hedge so the wife wouldn't know) I looked for MG4s every time we were out so I could quiz the wife on what she thought of them ...... not one in nearly 3 weeks .... When I finally 'fessed up, she wasn't even interested in looking at it

When she finally did come to the yard .... it wasn't the car that she didn't want to see, it was the yard with the remains of our burnt out workshop. She liked the car

and from then on we saw more of them ......
When I bought the second repairable write off from Melbourne and had it delivered to Adelaide, she was excited to see it ..... but repairs turned out to be a much longer project than I realised.
When we needed a vehicle in a hurry because our primary drive car, the Silver Prius, I couldn't get the part required until after I was due to be at the eye hospital in Adelaide, Margaret suggested we might buy a new car

What sort? An MG4

We saw them every where on the way down to the car yard and on the way home, again when we went to pick it up and again on the way home .....
It must be the whole thing of owning one that makes you look out for them, but we still see a lot of Prii out and about
