Does MG4 have any sort of automatic tpms pairing like other brands? For example, if i switch around wheels, will they be detected or will need programming again?

What aftermarket sensors are you guys running?

The sensors won’t auto detect, they need to remain as they are unfortunately

From what I recall, service info suggests TPMS requires reprogramming if wheels swapped around. Seems nuts as my MG5 also reports individual pressures for each corner but, I believe, will self-learn new positions and rotating wheels is recommended in the owners manual.

Here's my experience:
I've had my wheels repainted (powder coated), so all wheels off, and new TPMS valves.
Now, I don’t know what make of valves the garage used, and I was dreading having warning lights and error messages, but all I had to do was drive slowly ie 30mph max for a short distance, and the system recognised the new valves and all is OK now. I've checked with iSmart all all is perfect!

A small difference here is that these are new valves no programming needed.
hojnikb is swapping wheels around keeping the same valves. I'd say try swapping a couple of wheels, drive a short distance, half a mile (1km) max 30mph (50km/h), and see if it self learns. 😣

Cool, thank you!

Would be silly to need to reprogram them everytime you rotate the tires. I have to buy an aftermarket set of tpms sensors for my summer tires, so that's why i was interested in knowing how it works on MG.

I have a set of wheels for winter (with TPMS fitted by the wheel supplier) and the originals for summer. I swapped them over yesterday and the MG reads the wheels straight away.
... that because the wheel supplier has done this correctly & cloned the old wheels with the new ones, probably using a Autel TS508 and programmable TPMS sensors.

They didn't clone them as they are 150 miles away - probably just programmed then correctly.
Interesting, that they didn't need to clone them, maybe the reprogamable ones self-learn as soon as they are on the car, which would be a good thing, just didn't know that they did this!
