MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

I

I bought one, fantastic deal and no issues with it at all, smooth as silk at all speeds up to 150kmh, haven't needed to go faster than that. Nothing to get 'sorted' here. Plan to keep it at least 5 years and would definitely consider another Xpower (or equivalent MG) when I decide to change.
You should go straight down the dealership and complain. They are supposed to vibrate at around 110kmh - 130kmh, seems you’re missing out! 😜

I've got 10 months left on my xpower lease and I'm already looking at what car I might have but it definitely won't be anything with a mg badge on it how about all you lot that leased your xpower. And I hope you lot that bought one get them sorted
Mine is on a 2 year lease started last October when the deals were rock bottom prices, as it stands i plan to extend or buy my one or may go for a new version if it exists by then or sometime after, either way do not plan to part with mine or at least until i have any new version.
It is not perfect but it is bonkers fast and looks awesome imho and i prefer it to the Tesla i had before.

Most of us do like are xpowers but how many of us would have got one if it did 0 to 60 in the 5 sec region

Good question. Have to admit 0.60 in 3.7 secs, was a big draw. That's Supercar territory, for a Supermini price. 5 secs is not exactly a Snail's pace. But just doesn't sound as good. So probably would still have got one. As I think the X Power looks awesome. Particularly in 🧡😉🙂👍

I’d probably still have of gone for one but the 3.8 secs is definitely a selling point!

I actually love the car apart from this issue and since I’m probably going to be stuck with it (unless I make it my mission in life) I’m trying not to let it completely ruin my view of it. It’s an otherwise fantastic car.

3.8 secs is 0.62.... Don't recognise that, I'm sticking with, the good old 0.60 (which we've used for donkeys years) in 3.7 secs
Which sounds and looks just that tiny bit better. 🤣😉🙂👍

Still have 18 months on the lease for mine, but I suspect a fully loaded Renault 5 (or A290) or an Ioniq 5 will be high on my list of test drives, as used these will be in the under £30k bracket by then.

That's just It though "used" not new.
And hopefully the new MG4 X Power, (if there is one) will be faultless. 🤣😂😉🙂👍

A fully speced R5 Roland Garros (with front and rear dashcam) was coming in at £31,500 new on the Renault configurator, so an ex demo should be under £30k

And no doubt, it's a very nice motor.
But lacking, why we all bought an, X Power for in the first place, and still more expensive. 🙄🙂

Yep similar to what we went through one year ago. Really sad but not surprising that MG UK haven’t changed their approach.

What’s the current situation with the group action rejection - must be 6 months ago it all started?
This is the problem, MG at the time launched a car that could compete with most other ones on the market it was a budget car and there were some short cuts in materials and other little things you take for granted in other cars (rear interior lights spring to mind)
But they launched it at a price point that took some beating. For the most part the car is a success, right up until you have an issue then it is just an absolute carry on to try and get stuff fixed.
My wife's company leased 20 odd trophies and everyone one of them has had a variety of issues and time of the road. The company will not be taking MGs again and I am sure that will be the case with a lot of owners.

If you get a good one great, if it's got issues then good luck but the arguments to get stuff looked at mean the 7 year warranty is hardly worth mentioning.

The X power is so close to being a brilliant car, there is nothing at that price point that comes close in performance. Have they fixed the issue in newer cars (the expensive fix mentioned) or have they just managed to mask it and all the while there may be some abnormal wear going on in the background, I guess people will find out in a year or two, when all the parts have probably dropped of the warranty.

MG UK must think people are stupid to try and fob them off with the characteristic crap.
The What Car reliability/after sales survey doesn't lie unfortunately
