MG ZS EV Facelift launched in India today

MG ZS EV launched their facelifted version in India today. Here is the YouTube link : and here is a snapshot of the features.

Quick math says the excite (lower trim) is priced at ~ £21,900 and exclusive (top trim) at ~£25,800. The price is ~£1,000 higher than the previous top trim of ZS EV.

MG imports CKD (Completely knocked down) units and assembles the cars in a local plant in India. In Mumbai, MG will start delivering the facelifted cars for the bookings made in Oct 2021. There are roughly 285 bookings in my city as of the launch date.

The color choices offered in India are Black, Silver, Red and White.

The facelifted model doesn't have all the features of ADAS. It has LCA, BSD and RTCA. ACC and AEB are missing.

Also, MG is offering only the 51KW variant and not the bigger battery variant as of now.

They have simplified the pricing and package then for the Indian market and retaining the Excite and Exclusive trim helps building the brand. I like the approach to the launch and yet surprised that the narrative made no mention of the 360 cameras other than the slide listing features at the end.

Interesting. Same as Australia, with deliveries guesstimated for 3Q 2022.

I wonder if they are a little battery constrained as well as chip constrained?
