MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

Yesterday I was out for a run and a car carrier with about 8/9 MG ZSs pulled up beside me with a range of colours on.

On closer look it was petrol models - but at least it means they're still on the move!

Hopefully that helps somebody, but not likely to be many in this forum.
Wish one was mine I've ordered petrol 1st November and still no updates but at least I know petrol are coming into the UK aswell thanks for the info

As of the 1st April my contractual delivery date. Any time after that is my goodwill and patience. Technically after that date they are in breach of contract.
Unless the T&C specifically says that the delivery date is of essence to the contract, I don't think you have a case here. Dealership has all the power.

It's in black and white, and any date that is written on a document that is a signed by both parties is contractual, regardless of t&cs otherwise no specific date is specified. It would read the vendors will provide a vehicle for delivered as soon as stock is available.

What’s your remedy though? You can’t make them give you a car…

I struggle to believe that any legal action would succeed.

Who decides when "stock is available"? That's right, the dealership.

In the foretime, if dealership fails to deliver a car fast enough, the sale is lost to a competitor. Now they don't have to make that choice. Every car showing up will be sold.

Dealership has all the power.

Tbh it's a pointless discussion

Agreed , I'm not talking about the delivery date I'm talking about them selling cars to people who ordered after thus not fulfilling contractual agreement. But its a pointless discussion as its not going to happen, I was speculating on possible course of actions. Which in reality wouldn't be worth the time and effort. The reality is you wait or you cancel. I'm choosing to wait.

All makes are affected. I think you make your choice, wait or cancel. I’m reluctantly waiting since 28th November

I’m waiting too. Per my post a couple of weeks ago, any alternative is either a longer wait, significantly more expensive or a compromise

Our latest is: MG ZS EV LR Black, ordered 27/11/22

They’ve “found out this morning” that the next 1,000+ cars are going to be delivered in 7-8 weeks. They have no idea if our car will be on part of that, could be later. Also there is an issue with the black paint for the cars, because of the war in Ukraine. ?
That's a new information, 1000+ awesome! Which dealership mentioned that?

Got it

So cool but o my god getting insured was a pain my insures just point blank refused no explanation other than computer says no Eventually went with direct line. As it was new car they couldn't find it on a system yet. Took me 1 hour to get this done. I was so done towards the end.

My mg dealer said charging lead 7kw wasn't delivered yet but will be send in coming days so will be stuck with granny charger for now. Dealer was friendly enough though.
