If you order a new e-Mokka now, you might get it by next april... the wiring loom for the e-Mokka (and the ICE mokka) are made in Ukraine...Oh if it was a viable option for me in terms of range & battery capacity (given my annual milage I’d rather have more capacity to maintain battery health) I’d take great delight in telling my lease company & MG to take a running jump.
If I had the money I’d probably get a eMokka to tide me over- there appears to be a lot of new/sub 5k cars in stock- but not in possession of £28k going spare
I was VERY disappointed by the ID.3 when I test drove it... for the price of that car I expected so much more, but everything felt cheap and "plasticy" inside, nothing screamed "This is a near 40 grand car" to me at allVery true. I found the same myself when I test drove the VW ID3 and then the MG ZS, and found the latter had a better interior!
I'm not impressed by the Niro EV - it doesn't improve in all the right places. I was thinking of a newish used e-Niro, but priced too high. The prices for the revised Kia e-niro (or now just Niro) have been released today.
Personally I would say that the Niro is the most comparable to the ZS EV LR in terms of price bracket, size of interior & luggage space & charging speeds.
The SE rough equivalent starts at £34,995.
The Trophy rough equivalent at £37,745.
Same with Hyundai, in the 80s the Hyundai Pony was one of the fastest depreciating cars ever, a 5 or 6 year old example was valued at £20 in the Parkers price guide books.![]()

I agree - I really disliked the interior of the ID.3 - hideous! You spend a lot more time seeing the inside of your car, than the outside.I was VERY disappointed by the ID.3 when I test drove it... for the price of that car I expected so much more, but everything felt cheap and "plasticy" inside, nothing screamed "This is a near 40 grand car" to me at all
I think they went with BMW i3 styling on the inside... only problem being with that is that the i3 is a very old and outdated EV now, circa gen 1 leaf territory... Which reminds me about another bug bear on the new leaf... the 2022 model has been announced... still with chademo and ccs type 1 charging... no type 2 yet again... what are nissan playing at?!?!I was charging at Tesco a couple of weeks ago and an ID3 pulled in next to me and connected up. I asked how they were getting on with it. They liked the tech, build and handling, but felt the fit and finish inside was sub standard for VW.
It is absolutely the pricier option, but then I also wouldn't have to make any after market changes since it has tints, head-up display & front sensors. The smaller battery wouldn't bother me as they're known to outperform expectation. The prices for the revised Kia e-niro (or now just Niro) have been released today.

I'm tempted to put down a deposit at launch if I'm going to end up waiting until year end for ZS EV anyway. Initially I had thought MG would deliver before the new Niro EV became a viable option...more fool me.
What to do...? ?
Yeah... it is a jump in £'s. I will wait and see if Costco have any offer on it.If there was a couple of grand in it for me & Kia could show that they had a better ordering system, I would go for it instead. I can’t really justify £7k for marginal upside though.
That's bizzare. We get Type 2 AC charging in Australia (I assume that's what you meant, CCS is of course for rapid charging), though also CHAdeMO.Which reminds me about another bug bear on the new leaf... the 2022 model has been announced... still with chademo and ccs type 1 charging... no type 2 yet again... what are nissan playing at?!?!
It also really boggles my mind, they did not change it over to CCS atleast in Europe.Which reminds me about another bug bear on the new leaf... the 2022 model has been announced... still with chademo and ccs type 1 charging... no type 2 yet again... what are nissan playing at?!?!
Heat pump on the Kia is 900 or so extra don't forget.
I went to the Kia Niro launch event a few weeks ago, I was tempted, salesman was absolutely hopeless both at the event and for the following week. I'd have bought one if it was 100% July, but they basically said no chance, it'll be 2023 (true or not who knows)
But I turned up with a metaphorical bag of cash to buy one and they talked me out of it... Go figure
I have a Kia document re e-niro I can share with you later if interested, it's not publically available
Anyway, Ive since joined the ranks of MG ZS EV waiting... Hi all !![]()
Thanks for the upload - really useful! I can take or leave the sunroof so 3 would do, and I'm not bothered about the heat pump, it's not like the ZS has one - I don't feel the weather is inclement enough for it to make a substantial difference to me.Here you go if interested.
the '4' with heatpump is ~£10K more than the ZS Trophy... The Kia is nicer but not 10K nicer IMO (Trophy LR available for £31,000)
I believe all -at least most - manufacturers have long lead timesIs there a queue like MG?
