Is the outgoing MG5 the last of the 'cheap' over 200 miles EVs ?
The facelift ZS is more expensive than the Gen 1, which in turn was more expensive than the 5 to start with and I'm sure the facelift 5 will be more expensive than the Mk1 MG5, SR or LR..
I think we all know that we need more EVs that are affordable but each new one, from any manufacturer, that comes out seems to be getting more expensive instead. Perhaps they will be 'value for money' at whatever the price they put on but do we all need the spec that we have to pay for?
Do we need more of the old 'Escort L trim' type of EVs, i.e. base models ?
With the production line started for the MG4 (see link below) which looks very nice, where will that sit in the price spectrum?
Could we be sitting in a classic of the future, or indeed now, with good range, good spec, all at a price at the bottom end of the market.
