I just bought my car from MG Chorley m, they are part of the Chorley group but actually the garage in Chorley. (second attempt after using perrys Preston first - avoid by all costs)
They were very helpful and very knowledgeable. Would recommend them and will be using them for servicing myself
I’ve not yet as the local ones near me have not been finished installing. I need to find out where the next closest ones are and I’ll do it then. I’ve got a hectic couple of weeks coming up and won’t actually be doing much driving so it’ll be after that.
Well she has arrived! Picked her up this evening. Added bonus of a sunroof which I didn’t know I was getting. Car was first registered in Feb this year, it’s got less than 500 miles on it and it 100% is a long range!
Happy to still be part of the ZS club, thanks for everyone who came along with...
Awful experience with Perrys Preston for me. I called and spoke to a sales rep about a 23 plate Long Range MG ZS they had advertised on the website. Went to test drive and the battery was only at 19%. Was enough to test drive and I liked the car so out the deposit down. On numerous occasions I...
Thanks both. I am more hopeful with this one, as bought from the Chorley branch of Chorley MG group who have a good reputation. I have already confirmed the car is not bound, so just the Tesla charge will need checking.
Thanks both for your help!
Thank you! I do like the car, I’m just not happy with the dealer and the way they’ve handled things and it doesn’t fill me with confidence about any future dealings with them. So it’s going back and I am definitely enjoying my shopping :)
Thank you!
So that’s the car back with the dealer and my...
They tried arguing with me today that it was a long range, even when presented with all the evidence. But, the search will be on tomorrow for something new. Perhaps actually a long range ZS like I wanted in the first place :)
I’m not quite sure why you’re trying to be so antagonistic, but I’ve...
Thank you, but it’s going back. I’m not happy with the attitude of the dealer. They want it back and don’t want to come up with a sensible solution for me to keep so I’ll get my money back.
So it’s going back. I’m not happy, I’m not happy with the service etc. off car shopping this weekend we go.
Thanks everyone for all your advice and help, it’s really appreciated.
I'm in the UK Fred. The dealer is in Preston.
I've told them my best and final or they can have it back and I will look again. I won't be held to ransom over a mistake they made.
Thanks
So, conversations with the dealer are that they have definitely mis-sold and rather than offer any money off, they would prefer to give me a full refund and me hand the car back!
I have emailed the dealer last night and asked for a call. I will then follow up with an email with my asks in. I would like to avoid handing back and would rather have money back, as this would be the second car I have had to hand back in a month. I had previously purchased a Kia Sportage...
Thanks for your help on both posts. Yes we have an EV tariff so it is saving money. Thank you
I have no said anywhere that electricity costs more than petrol/diesel
I do about 50 miles a day. I do get about 3 days out of a charge, with some spare miles, but I plug in at about 20%. Thank you
