Every car I've had over the last 50 years has had a service manual that was stamped by the servicing garage.
Am I the only one that doesn't have one or are they no longer issued with the ZS Hybrid+

If you don't have a stamped service book then how do you answer the question of 'is there a full service history' when the time comes to sell and how do you know that the servicing garage has done everything that MG requires as a full service ?

It seems MG don't do service books or manuals other than online. The dealer should log everything onto the system, but no harm to keep all paperwork, receipts etc as your own record. If using a non mg dealer make sure mileage and proof of mg spec fuids, parts etc is recorded.

@Busbydave I'm in the same position. This is the first time I've bought a brand new car without a service book. I don't know when to get the first service and what it should cover? I was told by the sales team at Bristol Motors that "It's all online at the MG centre - they'll tell you when". Is that true? Do I need to set up a service plan with an MG service aproved dealer? (I don't want to use the place I bought it from, in case their service shop is as incompetent and shoddy as the sales department). I want to be sure I'm not breaching the terms of the warranty and I can't relax without knowing what's required.

There is no need to set up a service plan. You could request a service schedule (in writing) to keep as part of your own documentation.

I'm expecting a check sheet to be provided when the first service done just like I was given with previous cars. Later cars also come with an inspection video.
Can those of you that have a service confirm this happens with MG dealers as I've been thinking these things are the norm.

Most dealers provide the same.

In Germany the interval is either once a year or 25,000km. I have set the car to warn me 45 days in advance or 1,500km in advance, whichever comes first.

How is the dealer supposed to know that you may have already reached the mileage
Exactly, they won't. The responsibility will be on the owner, the same as it has always been. with any car. I assume the when refers to what is required at a particular interval, as opposed to informing the customer that they have reached a particular mileage.
