MG4 XPOWER
As of yesterday ( being Friday here and service isnt open over the weekend ) my poor X power was still in bits..

Some lovely person decided last Saturday to merge into the side of my car so after i get it back hopefully on Tuesday by Thursday she is booked at the panel shop !!

Needless to say I'm not happy !!

My wife came home to this the other day. No note, no nothing. Which was nice. Bodyshop for quote next week before getting fixed in March. Splitter cracked at the bottom too. Excess not too bad at £250 but I'd rather not pay for someone else's incompetence!

Dash cam front and rear is a must these days same day I had my accident I bought a dash cam..

Waiting to get it back from the vibe fix but may have to wait till after panel shops finished ..

Kinda stupid car has a 360 cam but no sentry or record functionality..

Guess mg figured you don’t pay enough for that feature!!

Driving a 1.0 Polo courtesy car is awful. XP due back on Friday. Fuel economy is pretty good, averaging 55mpg but it's just a rubbish thing to be sat in. Nothing happens when you put your foot down- far more dangerous than instant space rocket ability

I 'had' to drive a Brand Spanking Dacia Duster 1.2 manual the other week.

Good God!

What a shocking experience that was.

Obviously slow.
But also awful on every other aspect of the driving experience.

Really a step back in time and it all felt a bit antiquated.

To drive electric as I do now, really is just so very simple.

I will never go back to ICE in my cars.

(Even for nostalgia reasons)

I've got a Royal Enfield to tinker on, so can satisfy the "getting my hands dirty" with servicing and adjustments as required on that.

Maybe I'm not enough of a car enthusiast but a clutch and gear stick must seem like unnecessary complications having driven electric.

Obviously it's a different technology bringing "greater involvement" but just can't see why anyone would prefer that added complexity. Driving round town, forever changing up and down gears. Yawn.

Two pedals and warp speed? Yes please

clutches, gearboxes etc are all necessary due to the chronic inefficiencies and limitations of ICE 'technology'. Automatic/DCT/quick shifters etc are all simply band aids on top of that outdated ICE 'tech'.

When everyone's finally sorted the vibes out, maybe we'll be having a similar conversation?!

"Why would anyone bother with one of those shaky driveshafts? I'd never go back to driving one of those since I've had the [insert cool-sounding future-car name here]. What were they thinking?"

Original damage for reference is attached.

Back looking brand new today, 3 days earlier than expected. Absolutely bonkers what the final bill came to. Just for fun, I'll take guesses for a few hours. Itemised bill added to help you get to your ball park figure...

Looks like a trumped up load of bollox to me m8!

After the Chipsaway quote I had the other day, I reckon £300.......(If Chipsaway was quoting)

But trumped up as per that waffle..... I reckon just south of £1200?
