I think it because evs are so heavy and have full torque immediately They generate more small particulate matter than ice cars due to rubber wear

Well chairman Khan's LEV zone in London has see an increase in small particulates despite banning g dirty ice cars.

Which suggests that the majority of particulates have come from the dirty diesel buses in the first place?

Does the assessment say what the source of those particulates has been? If not then my theory could be equally as valid as yours.

A dimbo in a Ford C-Max has just decreased the life expectancy of my tyres by pulling out onto NSL road from a junction on a blind bend and dawdling whilst mid turn and then creeping along the road. Can report, discs nice and shiny and high beam flash function is operational. In sport mode so the brakes were instantaneous and powerful, phew!

I guess as long as rubber is pushing on the road, it's wearing. so coasting uses less rubber, but hard deceleration and acceleration use more.
Then there is a gradual variation, in normal driving, depending on speed, wind resistance and hills.
There's probably a formula, you can work all this out with.
I know, ask an AI.

I rephrased the query to be about tyre wear under braking in general and the results were more about how hard you brake which puts more weight on the tyres as the mass of the car pitches forward. Also how much friction the tyres have with the road and how likely they are to scrub on the surface rather than grip it.

So if the regen is set so it mimics hard braking it would be more likely to wear the tyres, but you would think this would be the front tyres more than the rear as the weight is usually transferred to the front of the car when slowing down. Unless the fact the regen is only on the rear wheels mimics a handbrake turn slowing of the rear wheels.

Your last sentence describes regen braking. The front wheels are free-turning during regen so all braking force is applied through the rear wheels.

My zs ev only has a motor at the front so surely regen braking via the motor acting as an alternator is at the front?

In YOUR case - yes. But this is the MG4 XPower board, a sub-board of the MG4 board. And the MG4 is RWD. (XPower is AWD but only regens using the rear motor).
