With the screen on, nothing on sips?
Nothing - screen behind wheell is not litWith the screen on, nothing on sips?
yes, but it's very simple. If you change tha BCM you need to use the replacement function on sips, during the procedure sips ask to place the key in the backup position and then it says key written in the ECU do you want to write another key? If yes selected it ask to put the key in the backup position and then says 2 key written in the ecu do you want to write another key and then if you have 2 keys click no and continue.Do you have to reprogramme keys with a new BCM replacement?
Don't be scared for the reprogramming keys, personally I added a OEM key bought on aliexpress for 20 euros and it's very simple and now I have three functional key. The maximum is 4.Do you have to reprogramme keys with a new BCM replacement?
Heyupdating my BCM and the car dims mid way through and then the reprogram stops. Car doesn’t start up now?? Did I just brick my car?
Did you manage to sort it out?Hey
Same thing happened to me friday while updating GW.
Yes I edit the postDid you manage to sort it out?
Yes, when @tbrennan4 explained the problem my first doubt was that the car was still in diagnostic mode, but he can't manage to get sips reconnect to the car. I'm struggling to accept that the BCM of Tbrenna4 is bricked because the bcm is reacheble for the vds. If samething similare happened to you there must be a way to get sips connection with the car.Hey
Same thing happened to me friday night (9 PM) while updating GW module.

After that, car was stuck in diag mode, and we couldn't do anything. I disconnected the 12V battery but nothing happened.
I relaunched SIPS and it took a while to display something. Before showing modules, the screen with "Key Module VIN Information" only shows VIN in GW. BCM and SDM where blank.
So I try moved on and after a moment, I disconnect the VNCI and I only saw GW in SIPS :

I try Replacement and it wont, 2 times.

So I restart my laptop, unplug and plug the VNCI and relaunched SIPS. And these time, I wait until I saw SIPS main page :

It tooks at lease 5min and after that, I retry Replacement and it went to end.
And the car start normaly after that.

Yes, everything pass to the GW in fact i'm not surprised that the other modules weren't reachable with the gateway "broken". Happy that you solved the problem quickly, I can only image the fear during the moment. In fact first of do something on the car I check everything at least 2 or 3 times because I tell my self that is not a computer of a few hundred euros. For me, it could be fixed : Gateway seems to be the main module on MG4 so if BCM is out, using "Replacement" could fix it

In my case, GW was broken and others modules weren't reachable.
If he could do like me, connect his car to SIPS, wait until it shows SIPS main page, and launch "Replacement" on BCM module, he could fix his issue.
I don't remember if I tell it here but that why I understand dealers who don't want to update any module if the car doesn't need it...
Show us some screens of SIPS when you try to connect your MG4 pleaseYea it sounds like I need to find access to SIPS somehow if I want to reprogram it. But with the car not turning on, there’s surely no way. I think my laptop chose to screw up on the worst module it could have
