What I wanted to say way, can someone confirm that open Tesla sites are indeed still working for the MG4? Because if this weather goes on I'm going to need them!

The two sites at Todhills and Gretna Outlet worked for me at the weekend. (Contactless payment, not via app - see post #19 on the previous page).

Thanks, I think I saw you saying that. What I really need to know is whether the ones where you can only charge through the app are still working. Perth, Aviemore, Inverness and Fort William are all that kind.

Just came to check Tesla charging stations in Winchester folliwing email about Instavolt super hub opening and was asked to re-input vehicle details on the Tesla app. Hhhmmm thought I

something a bit fishy this morning...MG removed from the 'Vehicle Details' of the Tesla App where you can indicate your EV type for open supercharging

Designed specifically for Tesla ... yet still shows virtually every other car maker.

Interestingly ... I went to have a look at the list to see if other Chinese brands were removed and the app seems to be taking ages to load - I wonder if the Tesla app portal is experiencing a DDOS attack?

Just tried this on my phone and got into the app almost immediately, so I don't think the portal is under any sort of attack.

@DaevM the fact that several users are reporting here that they have successfully charged at Tesla Open Sites very recently rather suggests that Google just might have got it wrong, again!

I turned off WiFi and used mobile data and was able to get in.

Looking again at the list then there's certainly no BYD or Xpeng or Geely. There's NIO though.

Yup, Google ai is known as artificial stupidity in our house. Run everything off it. Never rely on it .... hence the ".... or not" ( always the proviso when dealing with Google)

I'm wondering if thy confused Nio with Nissan's sports marque, Nismo. It looks to me that they tried to clean out all or most of the Chinese brands. Or at least the leading ones. I have no idea why, though.

Just think who's company is threatened most by cheaper ,and often better, Chinese imports

Hi all, I came across this a Tesla app query this morning and on checking in my app what is being said regarding MG no longer being listed is correct plus I have to confirm my contact number so obviously something has change since I last used a Supercharger with either of my MG vehicles 4&5 both have worked without problems on many occasions and over the last couple of years now have planned any journeys around using them.

So yes something is now different in the App and I sure hope they do still work with our cars this I will be investigating with in the next week or so with several longer journeys to do shortly.
One other thing I found this morning in the app is some Superchargers sites are now being labelled EV OTM not seen this before I will report back my findings soon.

Was that starting the charge via the app or contactless? (My MG4 worked fine the last 2 times I used Tesla sites - but they were V4 units so contactless was available).

Via the app. Sometimes the app will only work if I turn wi-fi off. Have no idea why.

Edit to my previous post this morning #35 I have just tested Tesla superchargers at Walton summit near Preston V4 units no issues using Tesla app more to follow later in the week.
