    Owning an EV is pants

The other interesting part I got from the post was that if you are turning left into a side road - you MUST give way to a cyclist who is passing you on the inside. Am I correct in this? All drivers will need to be extremely vigilant for cyclists undertaking you.

I got one from Aldi for £35 - just keep forgetting to put in into the car! Doh!

    Owning an EV is pants

That is interesting, I did not realise you had to give way if you are turning INTO a road. I thought it was only if you were coming to a junction. My concern is that a car following you may not expect you to stop before turning into a road and hit you in the rear. I appreciate it would be the...

I would like to agree with both of you........ but then we would all be wrong! A question on safety while using the Granny Charger:- At the video point 5:17, it shows a granny charger being plugged into an outside wall socket. The socket itself is waterproof but can the "BLACK BOX" part of the...

    MG4, not a good car.

Sales staff seem to move on a regular basis - dealerships seem to want to employ young people so they can mould them into their way of doing things - and of course they will be cheap. Sales people I have spoken to have swapped dealerships on quite a few occasions. The job is very antisocial...

    Petrol v Electric cars. ??

To be fair John, it would depend on the type of journey. The electric takes over in short slow journeys, when the ICE would be at its most inefficient. This really aids overall economy. The latest Toyota hybrids ( generation 5?) are even better.

    Buying advice on MG5?

Interesting! I wonder what the differences in the two models will be? Also the price!

QUOTE: The so called self charging hybrid can recoup some energy whilst slowing down and in theory can aid performance when accelerating. The problem is the extra weight of the electric motor and transmission plus the battery. The potential gains are less than zero, the car would be better with...

    MG4, not a good car.

This is exactly why I belong to this forum. You gain so much information that can save you time and money. You find out things that are not in the manual. I have been lurking on this forum for some time before purchasing my MG5 SR. Compared to other forums I have been associated with, the...

    Petrol v Electric cars. ??

I did not feel the same resentment towards the programme as many posts on here. They tried to highlight that it takes longer to charge a car than fill it with petrol – that was the point of starting at a low % charge and the petrol car having only ¼ of a tank. The part that hit me between the...

What does a house base load look like?

I changed my strip lights for LED strip lights in the loft / utility room and garage. The lighting is far superior and of course cheaper. Wicks was where I bought them.
