Dashcam fitted to USB power on rear view mirror

Just wanted to check if you found the 0.3m cable was long enough?

USB socket by the rear view mirror- suitable for dashcam?

For some reason the dashcam companies have been telling people it won't work but all the users are saying it works fine.

    Home Storage Battery

System I'm leaning towards will include Huawei Luna batteries. From what I've found much quicker switching than givenergy and expandable from 5kw up to 30kw in 5k increment (I'll be having 10kw initially). You need at least the 10kw to get 5kw discharge. There is a backup box available but won't...

    7kW home charger.

Unless you're 100% certain you'll never be able to have solar (or even wind) I would suggest a Zappi. Got a free BP Chargemaster charger with my first EV. In hindsight should have paid out of pocket for a Zappi instead, would have got the old £350 grant towards it. Now it's not financially...

    MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

Well one bright side to the delay is that Vanarama have changed the free charging credit included with my lease from BP Pulse to Bonnet. Much more useful to me.

Solar PV - no roof space

Had a chat with them. In the end they didn't go in to production, which is a shame but they were good enough to give me some info. Over 11 months the 8 panel generated just under 2000kwh. Tweaked the design to increase the roof space. Still 18'w x 10'd footing but a 20'w x 16'd roof; i.e a 6'...

You may not need to hardwire with the facelift version, unless you want it permanently on, there's a 5v usb port in the mirror cluster.

Solar PV - no roof space

Thanks for that. They're a fair distance from me but if they don't cover my area it gives me some ideas I can pass on to the company I'm looking at for the garden building.

Solar PV - no roof space

So one company has failed to turn up twice so not impressed with them. A local company did ring and had a good chat but again felt a bit fobbed off. No idea what kwhp panels they use but at 1.9m x 1.2m I'd struggle to get many on the summer house and they won't fit some on the house roof unless...

    MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

Once built it takes about 8 weeks from China to the UK. It's the final fit of accessories that require chips that is holding them up.

    MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

One other difference is the European variants get up to 11kw AC instead of 7kw AC charging either included or as an option. https://ev-database.org/car/1541/MG-ZS-EV-Long-Range#charge-table UK and Eire don't even get the option of speccing it.

Vehicle Control System Fault - New MG ZS EV 2022

It's a shame that so few cars actually support 22kw charging. In my experience, with the ZE50, it can actually be faster than CCS from a medium state of charge...

    Corrosion protection

Apparently the petrol ZS wasn't great in terms of corrosion protection. In the EV it appears to be a lot better, there is a video where the poster sees some surface corrosion but as he makes clear, no worse than any other car.
