    X Power Rejection.

Just wondering what happens with upgrades we've spent on our car if we go the RMC route? Aside from the ceramic coating, we've had a towbar professionally fitted (needed it for work) and also an audio upgrade to fix the abysmal standard sound. If we went for a non-vibrating replacement car, we'd...

    Tesla Superchargers

Correct - you still only have access to the 'open for all' chargers, just at lower price. More and more seem to be opening up to the general public so worth checking regularly though.

    X Power Rejection.

Well done for persevering. I have also found MG UK to be condescending & dismissive and for me this is the most frustrating aspect of ownership. Even if we were still without a fix at this point (as we are now), had their attitude been more sympathetic and understanding, there would be more...

    X Power Rejection.

Considering going down the same route due entirely to the response about the 'stage 2' fix being withdrawn. Have sent an email requesting more information from this company. We were told this 'suspension component' fix was in test and ready to be released by our dealer in May this year, which...

VIBRATION ISSUE - hot off the press!

Stating that my personal experience isn't relevant when you have no idea what that experience is, in my opinion is insulting but happy to accept that's not the way you see it. As you say, we have no true idea - perhaps SAIC can afford to waste time and resources, perhaps indeed they didn't do...

VIBRATION ISSUE - hot off the press!

You are of course welcome to your opinion but please don't cast aspersions on my experience and rubbish my own opinion without any knowledge of my own experience - I do find this quite insulting and certainly wouldn't reciprocate in doing the same to you, or any other forum member, to be frank...

VIBRATION ISSUE - hot off the press!

However, they have know about this vibration issue since the car was launched in the summer of 2023 (confirmed by my dealer's master tech who said the 6 cars on their training course in may 23, all exhibited it). So it seems all they've done in that time is tried the steering damper (which is...

    Xpower, the right choice?

Hendy were the cheapest for us on outright price when we bought ours. I'll be honest, had quite a few issues with them initially (lied to about build date and software updates) and we did initially try and reject due to the dreaded vibration issue (and a breakdown after 300 miles) but they...

MG4 X Power Roll Call and mods.

Thanks for posting - hadn't seen that before. I do note the much better, non-standard Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres and the suspicious lack of roll in the corners so very much doubt the suspension was standard x-power either ;) Good lap though.

VIBRATION ISSUE - hot off the press!

That is massively disappointing to hear - so they really don't care about existing customers at all (as we suspected from previous responses). On the back of this response, we certainly won't be buying another MG/SAIC product in the future and will be sharing our experience with friends and...

    Xpower, the right choice?

    Xpower, the right choice?

There are new X-Powers available for ~£26k now if you shop around and are prepared to travel.

VIBRATION ISSUE - hot off the press!

Depends when the car was manufactured. You could purchase a ‘new’ car from a dealer tomorrow but find it was built in 2023 so depending on the date of manufacture, you may or may not have the vibration issue.

    Throttle flat spot

I haven't noticed this exact issue but found several times that after a short bought of hard acceleration, when I next apply throttle, nothing happens - almost like all drive has been cut. I then have to fully release the throttle pedal and reapply, then all seems back to normal. It's a bit...

VIBRATION ISSUE - hot off the press!

The document does cite a driveshaft as the excitation source so does beg the question of why this problem can't be address at source. I'm guessing that if it was a simple as replacing that driveshaft/s, SAIC would have gone for this solution as it would be less warranty workshop time than the...

Suspect I'll be going down the same route as you but have to jump through the hoops first, frustratingly.

VIBRATION ISSUE - hot off the press!

Just going through the motions of trying their specified 'fix' so can then continue the complaint if (when!) it's proved not to work. Holding out no hope whatsoever. No sadly. They made a point of saying the damper would be fitted to 'improve the customer driving experience' - suspect that was...

VIBRATION ISSUE - hot off the press!

So my appointment this Friday has been cancelled as apparently, the 'new' damper is now out of stock at MG UK?! Rebooked for 4th October then got a 300 mile motorway trip on 11th so a good chance to evaluate.

How Do You Install A Subwoofer In The SE MG4?

Our installer tried everything to fit a phoenix gold active 8" sub under the passenger seat but couldn't as there wasn't enough height - this unit is only 70mm high. Only option is the boot. And as mentioned above, you'll have to take a high level input from one of the speaker output cables.

How Do You Install A Subwoofer In The SE MG4?

Even the slimmest units won’t fit under either front seat - ask me how I know lol
