Here in Norway at brand dealers first year is about 3500 NOK (about £250), second year about 4500 NOK ( about £325). So your prices seems quite reasonable! 🤣
No.
Because I like to try different brands, not because the MG 4 is bad. It sure has flaws, but the driving experience in general is great.
If I had to change car today I would go for either Kia EV3 or Renault Scenic. I feel they are worth the higher price compared to what you get, based on...
My car has always rolled back if using ACC and traffic stops uphill.
Thought it is just how it is working, so every time I now put my foot on the brake.
Will mention for dealer at next service.
I can say that my MG 4 use loads of extra power at -10 or below at least. Still no problem keeping the cabin hot.
Worst case last winter was getting roughly half the wltp range.
It feels like MG added lots of features to be able to look good on paper compared to the competition, but fails at implementing them correctly.
Like OTA, not working and doubtful if it will ever work.
Automatic high beam - which is only good for annoying oncoming traffic since it decides when...
I've had my MG 4 for quite some time. And one annoyance is the shortcut for phone usage.
I hate having to use the touch screen while driving for safety reasons.
The phone key opens the last calls page which is perfect. But it would be so much better if you could use the arrow keys on the...
Have you had the software updated? I got an update for ACC in November 23, and the car improved greatly. Not perfect, but very usable for me at least, and yes I always use adaptive regen when using ACC as well.
The speakers. Came from a ford focus 2011 with stock speaker system, to realize the mg 4 system is way worse.
Also my ford focus could play mp3 folders from usb stick, something that doesn't really work in the mg 4.
No problems with my pixel 7 pro in MG 4 64kW luxury for me.
Try other cable maybe. And you probably know you need to use the USB A connection since you got it working with samsung.
Also after I got R46 update (probably quite similar to R33 for your car), android auto is more stable.
Depends on model I guess. My ford focus had excellent autowipers, rarely had to adjust anything. They just worked.
Still that is a very minor drawback in my book. I have other drawbacks that bothers me more (poor music playback capabilities from usb, subpar audio system/speakers).
Some questions/answers doesn't really match my answers.
Like charging, I only charge at home or very rarely at public fast chargers. Charging at job is not really a thing here. We have two 50kW chargers, but they are as expensive as public chargers.
And MG service? I have never been in contact...
Pretty nice review, but I kinda like the fact that car wont go into drive without seat belt fastened. Gives a feel that safety matters.
There is a few times a year when I have to open a gate, drive through, then close it, that it annoys me. But I can live with that.
Fun fact: seems MG is going...
I prefer regen at 3 for shorter trips/city driving, which is like 80% of my use. For long trips using ACC I switch it to adaptive, from my shortcut on steering wheel.
But I agree that it would be nice if it saved the previous settings.
Sounds like you lack software updates. In newer versions LKA can be disabled from swipedown menu. Also less annoying if you get the latest LKA update for the car. Screen is also more responsive with newer software versions.
But it is not all installed at all dealers. Some dealers might install lane assist update without doing an infotainment update. Only update I got during service last week was for the auto highbeam. But I got some updates in November, including r46 infotainment and lka/acc.
This. The ACC change made the car so much better. No more slowdowns in every curve.
And I live in Norway as well, no problems with the increment change.
