2021 Speakers specification

Do we have knowledge of what type of speakers we have in a stock 2021 MG ZS EV vehicle?

What brand, how many speakers and how many ohms? Also frequency range.

Probably unbranded, probably 4ohm, (you can measure with a meter), and probably not very good. Any reasonable branded item from a car audio place is likely to be better.

80 watts in someone’s imagination. Realistically about 10w.

Found a review that says "When it comes to its audio configuration, the six-speaker system has a 25-Watt mid-bass driver within each of the four doors and a 25-Watt tweeter within both of the A-pillars."

It's only 25 watts? I have a sub woofer added only with its own amplifier, but the mids are quite high for 25 watts

In actual watts you don’t need much in a confined space. In a 12V system matching into 4 ohms the limit is about 25 watts. In practise with 100mm speakers the actual limit is probably less.

It seems the tweeters and mid-bass are wired together.

I get sound from both using B3/B4 and B5/B6 on the ISO 10487.

There is some sort of crossover inline? Where is the actual wiring taking place?

Have you looked at the in-pillar tweeters? They may have a capacitor attached (in-line).

I went from a top model D-Max with a high rated sound system to the MG ZS EV LR and was impressed with an even better sound system
