I found him hard to listen to, (I have Tinnitus) he's got a bit of a squeaky voice so I go into settings and slow the playback speed to 75% or even 50% it still works and it all happens slower so it's easier to follow, for me anyway.

You have to open it on Youtube to do this.

Long term storage when on holiday

I found this in the manual under Road Emergency Response A small solar panel has been suggested but I am not sure if I need another for the EV battery as well, I assume the EV one is Lithium so not sure if it needs to be kept alive or if it will be okay. There are so many variables...

Both can be downloaded to a phone or computer and depending on which software you open it with can be searched, you can also on PC search using Ctrl+F I use a free to download and use open source program called Sumatra:-

I took these this morning.

Be aware that some screens can be scrolled up and down in some sections to find the relevant settings for what you need, the car safety section being the main one.

I hope these help, I just had some drops in my eyes so focus might be a bit off.

This is just a quick amateur guide to disabling the ELK before driving. Default will always be ELK on, but certain situations such as driving on country roads or frosty weather might require you to disable the feature for a particular journey. The shortcut to the ELK setting is achieved by pulling down from the top of the screen to reveal the options for ESC oof and ELK. Press on the icon you wish to disable and press OK.
You will also see an option for screen off. This can be enabled if you wish to have a dark screen or one with a clock face.

Enabling clock face on screen:

You only have to tick the setting for this once, after that it is a case of going into the shortcut menu by pulling down on the screen and pressing the screen off switch.

Range ANXIETY on a HEV

Never in my life have I been so anxious about finding fuel as I have today. I was our first trip out together since we bought it, all going fine music playing from the phone via Poweramp (more on that later) Google maps doing it's thing, we drove up into the lakes, not the best idea but though...

The thing is I want to be notified, but it bongs until you pass it, then seconds later it bongs again, the music also goes up and down.

Barking mad to continuously bong, it needs it's own sound then two will suffice.

I'm not sure that it can be set like that, but maybe it can. I'm sure someone on the forum will know. You could try muting the dings and just leaving the alerts slider on. Otherwise, it's a software issue. The speed limit recognition will work independently of the sat nav and should give notifications less obtrusively.

ACC is a bit weird too, it is way over sensitive, I've not messed with it but going around right-hand bends if it sees a parked on the nearside, even off the road car it chucks the anchor out and gives me a pain in the ear, the left one.

I did a bit of a range test/calculation this morning.

I had to go to Leeds for my hormone jab (this is why I talk crap) as the docs managed to really screw up getting it done there.

Anyway

In case I've screwed up (what again) I have the pictures to back it up.

Every car I have had since 2009 has come with cruise control; honestly, I have rarely used it on any. This is the first with ACC, so I must experiment with the settings.

I like to use it in spec camera areas, or road works mainly, but very useful in these AWFUL 20 zones on main roads, I go on one coming back from Leeds through East Morton, it's a long and winding road (there's a song title there) or at least feels like it, quite bit down a fairly steep hill, so I put regen on 3 and the acc on 21, and let it sort it self out, I'm sure all the cars behind me if any are a bit peeved, but I have seen mobile speed traps on this section so best to be wise and kill your speed, I use it going up too.

I'm the same, but I also find it great when I'm on the motorway for awhile and when i go through those annoying 50mph roadworks on the Motorway.

It also helps with my diabetes my heels feel a bit numb after an hour or two driving, it's same in the van but no choice but to pull over and walk around, no toys in there.

I'd love a new van with a 9 speed auto with all the toys but barking mad money we don't have
