MG5 2nd Service Cost

Hi all,

I've had my MG5 FL for just under a year.

When purchased, it was a year old so the dealership performed the first service when buying, so I didn't pay extra.

I've just called to book in for its second service at Brindley MG Wolverhampton and been quoted £330. The service intervals suggest this will include a brake fluid change and pollen filter

This seems quite expensive.

I have done 13000 so far this year and will be just under the 15000 annual limit when it gets taken in, so the low mileage service is out of the question.

I have searched online and on this forum for other people's experiences, but any service costs mentioned seem to be from a couple of years ago.

Many thanks in advance if anyone can advise their costs also!

NB. My closest dealer was Brindley Cannock, but they've had a refurb and are now Nissan and Hyundai. There are no other dealers that are within a reasonable distance unfortunately.

That does seem a little high. Try calling another dealer just to compare.

Called Budgen MG Telford - £200 and a few pennies. Much better, and I'm surprised at such a significant difference between dealers.

Have a look on the MG site to check out service plans.

You can take out an MG service plan from their website for just one year. You give them the reg and the mileage and it will generate an immediate quote (which could be for your dealership if you want).
