A/C filter

Hi, i ordered this filter from Aliexpress. I got 2 filters, one pm2.5, and one carbon filter.

The seller said that some MG4s (like mine) arrived only with one of them but have a slot for both.

Should i put both? I thinking abou power consumption difference.

One is for filtering dust, and the other is for purifying (?) the air. I'd suggest using both - not sure which one goes where though.

One of them is the regular one (the white) and the carbon one is to absorb particles smaller than PM2.5.

The white one should be on top

I've changed the thread title to use "A/C" instead of "AC". While AC is a correct abbreviation for Air Conditioning, it is also the abbreviation for Alternating Current. Since this forum discusses a lot of issues with charging EVs, it's best to use "A/C" for Air Conditioning, to prevent confusion and save time when searching. This goes double for thread titles, since users may be searching for an answer like the one above (dark filter on top).

Good... I clicked on it yesterday thinking... "AC Filter"... well that's just a capacitor!

I fitted both, white top, black bottom
To be able to slide the bottom one in I had to remove the screwed down cover
Top one slid in & out easily without removing anything other than the access panel

Carbon filter is for odour removal.

If only one is fitted, is it in the top or the bottom slot.
TBH, I can't see the point of 2, one odour filter (black one) should be enough.

In other cars it has been a combined filter

Just a carbon filter might be ok but from what I've read the top filter is a HEPA filter
