I dare say that quite a few of you are using Apple CarPlay. If you are one of them, you will probably be aware that the navigation screen is extremely bright, when driving at night.
I’ve tried to find a solution, but failed. It is possible to dim the large screen, but not when it’s displaying Apple navigation.
My dealership, who agree that this is a safety’ hazard’, have also tried, but ended up admitting they couldn’t find a way to dim it.
If you’ve discovered a way to dim the CarPlay screen, could you enlighten me please?
Thanks Noel.

Do not use what ever carplay is but your mention of navigation makes me comment mine is very dark in the day.
CarPlay, and the Android and Waze navigation systems, are in every way, superior to the provided MG system. Which doesn’t even merit a mention in the MG manual.
There is a way to alter the settings for the info screen. From memory you can even set it to auto, so that it’s brighter in the day, and darker at night.
I have to admit that I have to be sitting in the car to find the screen that controls this.
My kingdom, for a proper manual🐴 😏.

Hi Noel,

As I read, you probably already know that you can swipe down from the top on the HOME screen to access the brightness menu.

You can also open the Settings app (in CarPlay), and under the "Display" section, you can enable dark maps permanently. This might help you.
