Hi guys , been looking through the threads on battery balancing, lots of info and thanks to guys who posted them , but ..... just got what i hope are a couple of simple questing to take away some of my confusion , I have a ohme pod charging linked to octopus rates.
From what i can gather from the posts its good to balance once a month ?.
i normally run my trophy between 40-80 %.
If i set to change to 100% on my charger overnight once it reaches 100 % will it balance itself ?.
it would normally finish charging to 100% with three / four hours + to spare ( end of the cheap rate elec).. I am normally topping up once every 5- 7 days to 80%. How long does balancing take? .

Cheers guys

Balancing happens at whatever charge limit you set. Balancing at 100% though is still recommended:
  • at least once a month
  • if the car is used daily, once a week*

*the manual does not differentiate between LFP and NMC.
Looking at the Cyberster manual it only mentions balancing at 100% once a month.

Thanks for the prompt reply , my routine will be to charge as normal to 80% for 3 weeks , then pump it up to 100 % . it will drop by approx 7% a day , so it will be sub 80 in 2 and a half days ish ...

You'll be fine. These batteries can take quite a bit of "non standard" treatment as long as you avoid leaving them at 100% for weeks on end. (Or if you do that, don't do it too often.) Two or three days above 80% every month really isn't going to worry it.
