Hi all. Apologies if this has been answered-can't find it.

I have the MG4 EV (standard range). If I try to play via Bluetooth from my phone it connects but won't actually play (Android Auto seems to cause an issue/override?). If I disable AA on my phone then Bluetooth works. Is this known and is there a way round it? Sometimes useful to play over BT.

On a similar note, can the standard range MG4 EV connect to AA wirelessly or does it have to be over USB?

AA can do wireless as long as you buy and plug in a Wireless AA adapter. (I use this one, with a start-up delay of 30 seconds so that the car can boot up before the adapter tries to connect to the car).

The problem is that AA hijacks the BT connection, as it uses that for calls, so you can't also play BT music. However if you have the phone plugged in (so AA starts) then you can play your music via AA anyway. 🤷‍♂️

Hi there, hoping you might help me too! Ongoing issues with android auto in my MG4Trophy ...normally use wired with a decent short cable and mainly for Google maps and audible. But recently just stops working after about 30 seconds. Bluetooth links automatically but doesn't do Google maps. Happy to buy the wireless adapter you suggest - does this work for maps too ? Jusg had yeaf 2 service sbd infotainment was updated but still dropping out the same and MG garage was useless.
Thank you.

The wireless adapter I use gives all the same AA functionality as plugging in via cable, except you can leave your phone in your pocket. (You need to go into the Developer Settings in AA- click the 3 dots at the top right - and turn on Wireless Android Auto). I've not had any issues at all since using it.
