Bubbling on front grill surround.

I am not totally convinced yet to be honest, I think it may catch all of out eventually.
I just think that the clock is ticking a little slower on some cars for some strange reason.
Your username does appear to be at odds with your comments, and I thought I was a glass half empty person. :)

When I received my brand new ZS EV yesterday, it had already a bit of bubbling on the grill chrome surround, I reported directly to the dealer, this will be a warranty claim.
Yes I noticed a little on the one in the show room when I took mine in to be assessed.

Looking like a problem with the manufacturing process at the suppliers end.
Any surrounds currently in stock, are very likely to do the same thing again.
The issue has to be driven back to the supplier, unless it already has of course !.
It does not sound like an isolated batch as a lot of car ARE or will likely be affected.
This is likely to be an expensive warranty claim against the grill manufacture.
I guess this begs the question, what other items of chrome effect trim do they also produce for the car ???⚠️.

Many manufacturers only warranty trim and cosmetic parts for 1 year so it's worth having a good look at all your other chrome bits, before the car is a year old, just in case MG do the same.

Well mine's just under a year and a half, so may be out of luck. Thankfully it's perfect so far.

On a related note, my car came with the accessory chrome tailgate trim fitted by the dealer. It severely bubbled and corroded up within less than a year! As I didn't really like it much anyway, it was just removed and binned, but it was appalling quality, I'd not recommend anyone get one, especially at what they cost!
