Camden Grey here today!

We had a bit of a chat about it here > XPower (only) colour POLL
Duly noted, clicked and read. Project drive penny pinching? Is it just the grey ones? I’d be tempted to wrap the side parts in satin black to match and protect from scratching. Only really notice because it’s so clean, it’ll get dirty soon enough 😄

No it's all the latest build XPowers, not just Grey, it's definitely penny-pinching, but some owners won't mind the look of it.

I personally do mind very much and I'm in progress to swap them for gloss. The silver stripe however I'm not chasing and will be wrapping the ones on the side to blend them in too.

That being said, I've noticed the '25 upgrades vs older models including LED lighting inside the cabin, also not noticed any vibrations (yet.)

How many of us didn’t notice the gloss splitter and diffuser have been deleted??
They have on my white one as well. Guess that's one way to roughly determine the time it was put together. We're used to the penny pinching though, with the MG4 being just about the only car with rear seats and no light for the passengers back there and the fact that they no longer supply any charge cables with a brand new car.

The ZS facelift had no rear lights or armrest, but the 5 facelift had both, on SE trim too. That also had vanity lights both sides.
Project Drive by MGR was ridiculously tight fisted, everything from rubber caps on seat belt bolts to fake wood. Worst thing they did was delete the twin horns and fit a Noddy hooter, and the whole front end had to come off to upgrade that one.
We live in a spreadsheet world now, no managers have any comprehension of what difference the little things make. Not just cars, everything you come across…..
Showing my age here 😉

Depending of software you will either have 5mph after a long hold on the left hand steering wheel toggle and 1mph with a short blip or it will be the other way around, 5 mph with short blip and 1mph with long hold
I'm on r40 and have the 5 jumps and 1 long press. I'm happy with that, but 1s are too hard to do, so if I want 52 (roadworks!) then I turn acc off, use accelerator to get to 52 and then turn on

Foibles aside, I feel genuinely excited about this car. Last time I had a turn-back-another-look car was my Alfa 155 wide body. It has an immense presence, great stance, premium feel about it. With retirement looming large it’s the last new car I will be able to afford, and all being well I’ll buy it out after the pcp. Was dreaming of a Cyberster but the costs will be huge ongoing.
I’m also chuffed that when my wife saw it, (and I’d not told her I was changing 😳😱🤞🤞), she was immediately taken by it.
My 5 was ridiculously comfortable and I will miss it very much, but had the worst stance since the original Mk3 Escort (remember how bad they were?!) but what a way to go forward.
And you guys, other XP owners, seem genuinely good old boys - and girls 😉

Been driving the work EV today, well this one’s a hybrid really. Regen not as good as the XP..
Found a great thread on here regarding main beam adjustment so will have a fiddle with that asap, the birds are waking up as I drive home because it’s pointing at their nests, and the dark shadow line is getting on my nerves.
First charge tonight since I bought it, updated the Ohme app and switched cars on it, the 8m cable reaches just fine, was worried I’d have to shuffle the driveway to make it reach (installed everything for front port MG5).
Getting high 3’s mpkwh, but it’s quite warm. Like for like it’s a bit juicier than the 5 but nothing to fret over with IOG charging. 5 was doing low 3’s over the winter, darkness, dual carriageways and heating really hammer the battery. Using eco mode and heated seats on the 4. Not trying to save pennies but optimising my range as my commute is 30 miles each way. If I can get 3 days per charge I’ll be more than happy, but 2 days is perfectly ok.
Some harmonic resonance present but nothing I’m worried about just yet. The mix of roads I use doesn’t really fit in the humming range, on the A34 I cruise at 60ish, just because all the loons go steaming past and I find it more relaxing.
Elsewhere on the route I find the flat handling very reassuring and the drive to work is as relaxing as in the 5. And I find the audio excellent, been playing Marillion today and sounds as good as on the home hifi!
Happy Bunny here 🤗
