Version 1.98.6 has added support for the MG4.

I've had a brief try of the free version, and the All Sensor list does display values for quite a lot of the EV variables, some of them jump to silly values occasionally.

Things like SoC, SoH, battery cell min/max/difference values, battery voltage, instant consumption etc.

But I have not had any luck displaying most of them in the dashboard display - I'm not sure if it something I am doing at the moment.

Ah - I joined the beta program in the app settings in the Play Store. The updated support for more Chinese cars isn't marked as a beta feature though.

Just bumping this thread as I noticed that the Android Auto display shows CarScanner as an option.

Got this working nicely in the car; display is dull but I can see actual SOC, displayed SOC, SOH, ambient air temp etc on the main Android Auto screen.

Just wondered if anyone had created any custom dashboards that were "most" appropriate for MG4 (or broader EV) use, and whether there were any tricks / tips for getting even more insightful info displayed than the sensors that are immediately available.

One instant observation is that it's interesting that the displayed SOC value reported by the ECU appears to be rounded "up" on the main MG4 display. So when the absolute value is (say) 78.8 the car's display will show "79" and CarScanner will show 78. Only when the 0.5 threshold is crossed does the %age drop on the car built in display. Utterly pointless of course. But mildly interesting to a dull man like me.

If you look on the main CarScanner screen on the phone you'll see several SoC values (e.g. using the Bjorn dashboards). :)

A better dashboard for AA would be great - or even the Bjorn dashboard rearranged for landscape view.

Yes, I've used those. Just wondering if there was anything more specific and / or clever that could be done (e.g. combining data fields etc).

Yes you can, but it's very tedious.

Within carscanner you can create custom sensors if you happen to know the id's of a particular sensor that Carscanner doesn’t have built-in. Not that helpful as the sensor id's are not published.

But to answer your question, a custom sensor can be comprised of an expression using any existing sensor values and some operators (+,-,*,/ and some others I think) .

Also on custom dashboards you can change the number of digits or decimals displayed too.

The data I'd like to see would be live / instant efficiency. But can't see that available. Ho hum, not to worry!
Thanks for the responses, doesn't seem like there's much I'm missing.
