Hello
Please could ask if anyone is using a wireless dongle for CarPlay in the new facelift ZS EVand which one. Also has anyone had trouble having a stable connection after the first connection. Also has anyone had the cars CarPlay software reinstalled and solved the connection problem. Working fine when on wire.

This works great with the iSmart infotainment on Mg4. Plug into usb power first and then set the delay to 40 seconds.

Go outside plug in car and boot then Bluetooth connect and should just work.

When getting in the car once mg software booted it should just kick in. Been fine since
Hi
Was there instructions on how to set the delay?

Yes it's included in the guide but just use your phone to join it's WiFi with the password 12345678 then go to the IP shown in the included guide and it has a delay option which is the only thing I touched.

Then plug into car

The password 12345678 doesn't work for mine. Does anyone know of any other passwords that might work?

What do you mean by a 40 second delay? You have to wait 40 seconds for it to connect? Sounds a lot more of a faff than connecting instantly with a wire 🤔

I have a Carlinkit ‘dongle’ and have also found that allowing a delay in the settings (mine is 30 seconds) gives a better, more stable connection. By the time you have fastened your seatbelt and are ready to drive off, it’s all working well. I still prefer that then endlessly plugging in and unplugging your phone.

Soon as you unlock the car the timer starts due to 12V power.

Cable is same issue if you plug in to early it won't turn to Apple Carplay.

Works great with the timer as soon as got in car. Seatbelt on and ready mode and turned off LKA, Carplay is connected no messing around.

Hello
Just reviewing this post I did, could you tell me which carlinkit you have 3.0 or the 5.0 2 in 1
Thanks

I have the 3. I don’t think there was another version out when I bought mine. I’ve had it quite a few years now, and since it worked perfectly in my previous car, I saw no need to upgrade. I’m the only user, so only need the one which works with iPhones.

Thank you for coming back to me, I have a 5.0 which I have had for some years but can not get in to setting so many need to replace.

@Jto

When you go onto the website 192.168.50.2 can you ‘see’ your Carlinkit? Has the settings page disappeared altogether, or is it just the ‘delay start’ bit that you don’t have?

@Jto

The way I do is to sit in the car with my phone, and the car on ‘accessories’ (if I’m not planning on going anywhere), so that the CarPlay dongle is on. Then go onto the website on my phone as stated, the Carlinkit page comes up, and there should be the settings thingy in the corner - maybe a hexagon?? That takes you onto the page with a list of choices, one of which is ‘delay start’. You set that, a confirm notice comes up, and you’re done.

I got this below from Amazon and have been using for the last few day and it has been working 100%. Starts up every time very good and quick going between app.
