Cars you’ve smoked ?

A month or so ago I found myself having to floor it when an older M5 decided to gun it when I went to overtake him. I put my foot down for safety reasons of course . I wouldn’t say I was surprised, but he probably was, when I left him in the dust.
Today I was following a Nissan GTR, and decided to see if I could keep up with him when he floored it. I’d say I was able to keep up (for a few seconds at least), but only just. He had a slight head start, but yeah, I suspect he would have me at a drag strip.
Whats some of the fastest cars you’ve left in the dust ?

So I'll sometimes give it the beans up to the speed limit then let whoever it is, usually mad as a hatter by then, go past and do whatever they want.

So I'll sometimes give it the beans up to the speed limit then let whoever it is, usually mad as a hatter by then, go past and do whatever they want.

Funnily enough, saw a program just the other day. About a Bond Bug with a Suzuki Hayabusa engine. WOW!
Now that would be interesting and possibly embarrassing at the lights.

Had a go at a 555 Subaru , a JPS Lotus and a Rothmans Escort . Just left me with a sore throat and a bad chest.

An Audi RS3 I recently met put in the best attempt so far.

He was probably quite surprised that he couldn't get past, despite the usual bravado from behind.

Swinging out to overtake just as I had already moved across. (Well, I might have chopped his nose off )

My saving grace was his ignorance of my limiter.

His bottle went before mine did.

An old Golf R stuck the boot in as I was coming up to overtake him.

No contest. None.

Nothing has bothered me away from the lights despite many efforts to the contrary.

I have had a few cars with over 500bhp and my humble X Power is without doubt the quickest car I have ever owned, regardless of the gauntlet thrown down.

I've not Tracked it to date though.

Oh I wanted too, but just don't see the point.

The biggest issue being the quickly diminishing power v battery percentage.

Also the overheating and the fact that tracks aren't well supplied with Superchargers.

I have done thousands of laps in many different ICE cars anyhoo so don't feel like I've missed out.

It was probably disintegrating into dust at the time.

Educated a M2 driver Tues evening coming down the M11 - was hogging outside lane (without anyone on inside) and when he eventually moved over, floored it thinking I wouldn’t be able to do my own overtake
Did have a squeaky bum moment a minute or two later when an unmarked car with blues flashing came screaming up behind, but just carried on past me…

Speaking of M2s, they have pretty similar performance stats to our machines, but had one in front of me in a 30 zone coming into a national speed zone. Heard him drop a couple of gears just before the NSL sign so thought game-on.

I think he was expecting to see me as a dot in his mirror - I can still see the surprised look on his face when he looked back to see me still a couple of feet away from him. He surrendered after that

I can contribute without incriminating myself as I love smoking people off the lights up to the speed limit, even if it's 30! I've had all sorts, RS3, S4, A63 + loads of "boy racer" style sub 300 bhp triers. The only thing I'd worry about would be another quick EV.
