I have recently had my car updated to R33 and have encountered an odd issue.

I have had the car for a year and rarely use the key to lock and unlock the car using the button on the door handle instead.

Since the update when I leave the vehicle and try to lock the car it is instead unlocking all remaining doors rather than locking them. This has caused me to walk away a few times leaving the car unlocked.

Does anyone know if this is an issue or have MG changed the lock / unlocking functions?

I've not encountered this, but ... do you have the setting in the car set for All Doors or only Driver's Door? (Mine is set for All Doors).

With the car locked when you press the door button do all the doors unlock? Is this the same for the driver's and the front passenger's door?

When you leave the car and press the door button which unlocks the other doors does pressing the button again lock all the doors? Is this the same for both doors?

If you don't drive the car and trigger the locking of all the doors are the events the same?

Is there any difference if you open the door with one front door button and try to close with the other door's button?

I can't see MG changing the software so I suspect a bug. You could try switching to just the driver's door and see what happens. It may be a stuck indicator bit.

When exiting the car and pushing the button it appears to unlock all the other doors rather than locking them which it it use to do. If you push it a 2nd time it then locks the doors.

As per above, maybe try changing the setting to Driver's Door, do a lock/unlock cycle or 2, then revert the setting to All Doors and see if that fixes it? (i.e. the setting may show All Doors, but it may actually be acting as Driver's Door).

Am I missing something here or just being a bit thick, but aren't the other doors already unlocked when you get out ?
