Hi
Simple question, will your MG 5 charge to full capacity in cold weather, for my 21 plate model that is 163 miles.
With temperatures around feeezing i I cannot get a charge in above 137 miles. I normally charge it to 70% which takes it to 137 miles, it’s only occasionally that I need 100% the last time being in the summer when it was fine.
But now even putting it on Max charge on an Ohme charger to avoid any charging restrictions it won’t charge past 137 mikes.
The car is a 21 plate with 7000 miles on the clock.
Ohme support is absolutely terrible, been in the phone and waited for over 40 mins on 3 occasions only to have the call terminated. I wanted to check with them if the charger was working correctly, it’s 6 months old, I’ve had the car for 6 months.
It’s unclear from articles on the web if the cold weather actually limits the charge. Some say it does by around 20% others don’t mention a limit at all and just says it takes longer.
Any experience appreciated as I just don’t don’t know what I’m dealing with.
Thanks.
