Charging flap frozen

Pardon my English but what do you mean with rhythmically ****ting it?
So they didn't **** on yours...

Mine also froze at the first recent cold snap.
Made me look like a right twonk at the Tesla Fast Charger.
Casually and rhythmically ****ting it, til it popped open.

Liberal squirt of ACF50 (or similar) into the mechanism, and it has behaved impeccably ever since.
That ACF50, is that anti-corrosion stuff ?

The charging flap on our MG4 would not close on a very frosty morning in the recent cold weather.

The problem was ice behind the rubber seal (on the flap) which had pushed it 'out of shape'.

Some hot water and gentle prodding with a screwdriver enabled the removal of the ice, closure of the flap and a working car :)
Don't forget to spray the lock and wipe the surrounding rubber seal with silicone. Don't use an oil based spray like WD40 as it will rot the rubber. And you might as well do the same for the door locks and rubber seals.
