Cyberster Mats

In Thailand Cyberster embossed mats are included. However it's standard practice to get more durable weather protectant mats to cover the precious Cyberster mats. My dealer provided "table placemat size" generic rubber squares that tend to slide all over the place including onto the accelerator pedal. Better than nothing I suppose. I'll send pics following. Aside from slow house charge cable, and V to L cable and an MG branded wallbox we get, 1 year free "first class" insurance and the dealer provides free window tint of your choice. All in all a good set of accessories incentive especially the insurance. I didn't finance my Cyberster but I understand financing is 1.9%.

Really impressed with Thailands efforts and ability to get the car on time along with assistance to include the necessities. They didn't have to supply a lot of the stuff that was included. Seems the head of MG Thailand is probably an enthusiast and has requested all of these. Lifetime warranty to boot. Seems a good deal over there.

MG UK can make up for it by including mats abd offering winter rubber mats for sale, offering the Yoke for sale, OTA updates (need UK server), glass wind deflector with mesh in protection bar and summon feature even though theyre missing the button on UK key (probably not going to happen).... Accessories in MG shop like hood care products, leather and suede cleaner, car care products maybe

I had a test drive of the GT at Grantham yesterday and specifically asked about mats and they said they are NOT included

I guess I'll find out on Tuesday when I collect the car. My dealer was clear that the mats are included, I specifically asked about mats and charging cables. But I guess it could be down to each dealer to decide whether to charge extra for mats or not. Their demo car definitely had mats installed.

Hi, MG (SAIC China) for Thailand has partnered with the CP Group. CP is Thailands largest industrial conglomerate by far and active in many business sectors with VERY deep pockets. The owner Charoen Pohkphand is the 2nd richest man in Thailand. (Just behind the Red Bull family) The MG factory is actually a 51/49 JV in favor of CP Group. The relationship/investment is quite substantial which is why Thailand was the 1st launch market outside China. Not to mention the Chinese heritage with many wealthy Thais and China investment in Thailand. The incentives and special offerings for the Cyberster I suspect (in my opinion) are driven by CP Group Thailand not MG.

and by the way,
I could not find any Chinese character on my Cyberster anywhere. Not even under the hood or in hidden away compartments. If there would not be talked about Chinese manufacured all the time, nobody would know.

The Cyberster Menus i saw on a YouTube review are also in Thai language. Interesting information.
Unfortunately and oddly we also have some puzzling limitations. ? Voice commands are only available in Thai language. No English choice.? Definitely an easy software solution but,,, nope.

Until you can update or hack the system...

Learn Thai?! More English is spoken in Philippines lol. It may take 10 years to read and write but speaking you can master it in a year ?

I mean when in Rome....Lol

Hi, :) Yes, I agree with you. I'm in Thailand now 32 years and my spoken Thai is actually pretty darn good. (Socially) But as you know Thai is a "tonal" language with 5 tones and 33 vowels. A non-native speaker with a sinus cold means my car replies with, "I'm sorry I didn't understand that, can you repeat that again"? ? A rising tone or a falling tone changes the meaning of the word completely! My car would think I'm an illegal immigrant! ??

So, back on topic. Has anyone who's collected their Cyberster in the UK had mats or not? I'm collecting tomorrow, want to be sure I'm ready for any disagreement about mats being included.
