New MG4 Owner - Looking for recommendations for accessories

I went with the Super ones from here MG Motors UK MG4 EV 2022+ Car Mats

Thank you for your help.

I am a wreck suffering from an extreme form of Raynaud's which I won't bore you with the tiresome details of.

Shape wise these are the same as the ones I got with the car except mine have a cutsie MG4 logo on them. And are actually quite thin and flimsy and were probably wildly overpriced. Looks like a good range of mat qualities there.

Looks good. Probably much better value than the MG4 branded ones.

I'll keep using the MG4 branded ones during the summer and the 3D printed ones in winter (because they protect the car's own carpet much more effectively than any flat mat), but if the branded ones wear out I know where to go for replacements.

They have arrived after a total drama where Evri took 13 days to deliver them and then Evri told me they had lost them today which caused Car Mats to order a replacement for me. I checked the Evri app this afternoon and it said they had been delivered to the drop off point. So I collected them and informed Car Mats who had been very supportive and organised throughout the drama.

The mats are good quality and I am very happy and recommend them to anyone wanting for quality mats.

I have now also created a set of inserts for a white MG4.
See pix attached. Also post same pix on another post as well.
I also looking at creating a set which can glow in the dark (Green/Blue) while in the day they appear green or blue, this will be way cool to see at night.

I've just noticed a problem with these mats. The inset piece which is probably meant to take the driver's heel is several inches behind the place on my mat which has been worn by my heel.

They look great! 🙂👍

I have the same problem with the positioning of the heel pad on the ones from CarMats. When I emailed them about the problem they said that the heel pad was in the same position as on the MG ones.

I got all of my accessories from Aliexpress.
Search for "MG4 Seat covers" and look "Custom Woman Luxury" store. Mine cost my $280 AU (both Front and Back seats and I bought 2 sets of them).
Hi Ray,
I'm just about to order those same seat covers (well the black ones but same "brand"). Just before I pull the trigger could you let me know how difficult it was to fit them?
They appear to fit nice and snuggly.
Any issues so far?
Cheers,
James

p.s. I see you have a 77 as well. I believe that what we call the Essence Long Range 77 is known as the Luxury*, not the Trophy Long Range in the UK. I understand the 77 is "Extended Range" in their parlance.

*and no, "Luxury" appears to be an EU 64 model! Our Long Range 77 is the UK Trophy Extended Range!

Did you mean 64? Luxury seems to be a European term. We would call that the Essence 64, I believe.

Yes.

No, I didn't mean a 64. Ray appears to have a 77 when reading his posts but the "Bio" says he's driving a Trophy LR.
Here in Australia the two 64 options are the Excite 64 (UK - SE Long Range) and Essence 64 (UK - Trophy Long Range).
Our Essence Long Range 77 is called the Trophy Extended Range in UK (with Luxury being an EU specific term apparently but for the 64 LR!).
How good are different model names for the same car around the globe!
Makes it so much easier :)

Even better when you come across a MG5 in Australia, expecting a station wagon (Estate) EV, and it's got a stink pipe! [ Edit: I've since figured out that the Australian model is a non-electric non-estste Roewe i5, where the UK MG5 is the electric estate Roewe Ei5. So it's less confusing than I first thought. ]

So that's the same name for different things, as opposed to a different name for basically the same thing. Sigh.

I love the CarMats ones, but they only do RHD. The local MG importer has branded floor mats for all of their other models, but no yet for the MG4 (it's been sold here for relatively short time) Would any of the other models have the same shape/size as the MG4? ZS, One, GT, HS, RX5, Marvel R?

Strangely the heel pad on mine is perfect. I cannot be put my foot on the pedal without being on it. I experimented today and my size 13 boots and even when pushed to extreme angles they were still just on the heel pad.

Size 13. I think that says it all. I take a size 4.
That had crossed my mind but my normal foot position is with my heel right beneath and in front of the pedal. It looked too me to be exactly where a small foot would go. I will look again today but I couldn't see how anyone wouldn't fit which made me wonder if there was a difference in positioning of the heel pad area on some mats. Possibly varying based on the quality level selected although I am now clearly speculating with no evidence. I will try to take a picture this weekend.
