Cyberster - what we know so far

Did you get a sense of how big the cabin is? I am wondering how accommodating it is for taller people and those with long legs, hoping it isn't too cramped given that the car is quite large.
Anyone up to 6'3 due to the headroom when roof is closed. Also depends on torso to leg ratio. Shorter upper body helps. I could barely fit in the F type. This was much more accomodating.
Yes, I had ordered at the start so hoping for delivery of one of the first cars.

Spec is GT in Camden Grey.

We’ve started a Facebook group too which is MG Cyberster Owners and Enthusiasts UK if you want to join that, when the cars are delivered we could probably benefit from your tech help ?

I had thought the plan was that the Cyberster dealers would have a dedicated sales area and team that just dealt with them. That may happen given time.

Will look into that. I would go for Grey as well but White is tempting. Red/Black or Beige/Grey** interior? I think the GT is the only trim id go for. My mate with F Type V8 thinks its 10/10 for looks! In and out. Its what an F Type EV should be!

Glyn Hopkins st Albans must be doing renovations or buying a building because with the new models incoming i cant see where theyd display the MG L6 and MG9. Theyd need a bigger building. I thought only large dealerships were selling the Cyberster. Glyn Hopkins st Albans are probably competing with Mill Hill which also Glyn Hopkins but much bigger showroom shared with Nissan. So anyone ordering now is probably looking at September if theyre lucky. I reckon the allocation is over half way there.

Not being funny but id leave the Nissans outside and expand the MG showroom. Nissan are done ?. Im a Nissan fanboy but the era is finished. If it wasnt for GTR curiosity id probably get the Cyberster yesterday!

Red/Black interior for me and black roof

They’ve got a lot of franchises in a relatively small dealership, it all felt very squashed

A lot of people are 20 years out of date regarding Chinese car safety. Back then, they really were utterly awful, but they learn and adapt very fast. Current stuff all seems very good. This is what some people still think is the case:

Anyone venturing up to Everything Electric in Harrogate this weekend. They’ve got the yellow GT doing the rounds on display. Thinking of going myself just to see it in the flesh as I’m still not convinced Dynamic Red was the way to go.

I feel Red is the best quality colour aside from Silver and Yellow in terms of finish. Tri coat colours are hard to get right if any damage occurs. The finish is very nice having seen it in the flesh. Its not the classic Ferrari Red. Its got a darker maroon hue to it and is pearlescent i think. Its definitely a head turner. I havent seen this colour on many cars. Its usually a brighter stock red unless its a more upmarket vehicle. In bright day light it looks bright red. In darker light or cloudy days it has a nice darker shiny hue to it.

The MG Cyberster looked good in the sun at Everything Electric (North) today ? The grey interior also looked great:-)

Cool, see you on FB too.

I love the Emira and personally have a strong affinity with Lotus, I have an Elise S1, also was away last week on a driving holiday, one of the guys came in his Emira that he loves. It was a consideration before I ordered the Cyberster, as were a couple of other cars, but the tax benefits swung it to the MG.
Ive joined as lee banna...Have you seen the Emira? What do you think of it?

I like the Emira too, not interested in ICE powered cars now though at all. If they made an EV version, that would be great. I do very much like the look of the Emeya as well.

Of course Lotus aren't really Lotus anymore, like MG, they're just a Chinese manufacturer marketing the brand these days.

I feel the same way. We became a 2 EV family a couple of years ago when we replaced our 5 series touring with a Jaguar I-Pace, we didn't even consider ICE vehicles. We have a BMW i3 which was our first foray into EVs back in 2019 after a Mercedes Hybrid where we realised the only thing we really liked about it was when it was running on electric power. That'll be going later this year though when the Cyberster arrives.

That said, a friend of mine has ordered an Emira and I'm very much looking forward to seeing it in the metal!

I guess can always look again at the Emira in the future before production ends and prices jump back up. I think the Cyberster will be the next car. Im just wondering what the verdict is on the summon feature for UK @Miles Roberts CG

Seeing as parking spaces are 2400mm or less sometimes

If you're going to actually park anywhere so tight that you need to use summon, your real issue will be the body damage neighbouring cars do to your side panels when the passengers get out!

Are you planning to use the Cyberster as a daily?

Apparently the summon feature will not be available in the UK car at launch. MG are hoping to add this via a software update retrospectively once they have approval for its use.

If i do get one nope. I have a run around for that! I think thats why people get PPF. Unfortunately its costing 3500 nowadays ?.

Interesting. No ones expecting to be used the way Xiaomi and BYD have used them. Ie to meet me at the entrance. Its just a straight movement 6 to 10 yards at best so the doors can be used safely.

I totally get the point of PPF where you have an obscure and expensive paint, but where the paint codes are readily available then it’s a struggle to justify the PPF cost. You’d probably get a couple of front end resprays for close to the PPF cost and it will only stop very light damage.

PPF can't stop dents either.
