Cyberster - what we know so far

Key marks and stone chips it helps. On the Cyberster the gloss black bit scratches easily. Suprisedly it wasnt so bad on the silver prototype but it was on the red car last year. It was 1500 back in the day for a wrap. Since ppf came in it all doubled

From what ive seen on Chinese Cyberster Forum, they have received an update over the air.

The gloss black will scratch easily, but it can be polished back to perfect just as easily with a little fine and finishing compound once in a while. I'm not sold on a lot of this new crap, sticky back plastic all over my car for a small fortune? I'll pass thanks, maybe it's how I drive, but never had a huge issue with chipping since cars got plastic front panels, oops showing my age...

That last bit is cool, MG need to master OTA and more reliable updates asap as this is the deal breaker for some people.

New color spotted in China.

Ooh... we need that colour, that's absolutely superb, works really well with the silver in lieu of black.
That silver is likely the plastic protective cover. We had a red one arrive this week with exactly these areas covered in white plastic. Although does give a good look at what a vinyl wrap may look like, if nothing else just to protect the glossy black areas

Those guys have no clue or information. Possibly December at this rate lol. Obviously Russia was first because its next door to China. Its possible it might not arrive until late 2024/ early 2025 at this rate in EU.
Russia and post-Soviet countries are first not because they are nearby, but because any individual or company can import a car from any country, without certification, etc. And after, for well-known reasons, European brands stopped production, service and sales in Russia, the Chinese filled this market. At the same time, the overwhelming majority are gray imports, without service, guarantees and technical support. Many local services and logistics of spare parts for Chinese cars immediately appeared, several brands became simply high runners, such as Zeekr, Voyah, Lixiang, BYD, Tesla. And now we have a real zoo of electric Chinese driving on our roads. )

PS
Here's an example. ) I just read that Xiaomi SU7 from the first limited version has already been brought to Minsk. Naturally gray import without guarantees and software support. ) On sale for $58k. )

I know theyre different type of cars but I drove tye Lotus Emira yesterday for about an hour. 15 mins of it I hit traffic and it was a manual. So not ideal. Fantastic car but i didn't notice a huge difference in power over my 370Z although handling and feel was better. I think the Cyberster will be a whole lot more powerful although much heavier. An additional 40 ft lbs for the base trim and 220 ft lbs and 136hp for all wheel drive. The Cyberster is a different proposition. Good looks and not as striking as the Lotus. But can possibly blend in many ways without standing out so much. Incentives to steal are also low compared with the Lotus.

For those that want something a bit different, new and are done with ICE. I also noticed theyve discounted the Xpower MG4 from when it was released. Would be interesting to see if it stays where it is after a year.

The car was dismantled at a show in China. Nothing to hide!

Well dismantled is a bit much! They removed the front arch liners, the front and rear bumper cover plastics along with the panels on the front wings over the door mechanisms. Didn't even take off the sill plastic trims.

All looks very conventional, but nice and heavily built.

I'd like to see a proper Munro style dismantling!
