DAB RADIO

If you find anything let me know. i hate that my HS radio does not perform like my ZS EV. I am thinking of asking the Trading Standards to look into this for me. I believe there is a legal case but would need a class action which will be hard to get enough to pay for it.

I love the design of the MG HS and ZS but they have severe quality issues

What year is the ZS? Why is it better?

There are lots of things about the ZS EV that are better but the USB radio now fitted to my HS is a disaster, to use and because it will not store favourites. The radio on the ZS is really good for DAB.

MY ZS EV is as 23 plate.

In Australia, we have no options for DAB radio at all. Not even the bodge offered in the UK.

Strange. With the MG4, at least my extended range 2024 model, we get fully bodge compatible DAB.

Today, two of my favourited stations were labelled as not available, and were greyed out. There was no clue as to why. I suppose that those stations might not have been streaming that day or at that time.

I rebooted the infotainment system; no different.

Only the frequencies. We have DAB and DAB+ in Australia, but the car can't do it. We have RDS in Australia, but the car can't do it. It's hard to believe they could even source something this bad to put in the car. My aftermarket Pioneer sound system from 2014 in my previous car could do RDS!

Hello, we bought EHS in the Czech Republic in the summer and we also don't have RDS and a DAB antenna on the window. There is only one woman in the car and I didn't even know that there was no RDS/DAB, I filed a complaint and I'm still waiting, as I read, it's a worldwide problem. I read that it would be enough to buy an RBRM, but how do I know the right one? I found something on ebay, do I only need the module or the display too?Thank you very much

Hello @Cendler

Sorry for the intrusion, from Spain.

I bought my car in October 2023 (software version: AS23_10.1_PEU_NAV_21.19_220120_R ) and my FM-RDS and DAB radio was not working properly. It did not give the information of the name of the FM station, nor was it possible to obtain the RDS information that is broadcast by digital codes on FM.

I informed my dealer/workshop and EU technical support of the possible elements that could fail and came to the conclusion that: the radio hardware was broken, or that the hardware/software that processed the digital signals, in this module, was defective.

After much struggle in May 2024, they finally replaced a module and loaded it with software, which it did not have until then. All the radio functions now work correctly.

I don't know for sure which module they changed, but it could be

I don't know what part number it is, although I've looked it up on the internet
