In N Ireland after the first service of my MG 5 trophy, which I really like, I had been waiting for nearly 3 months for a part as my rear passenger door lock wouldn’t open from the inside.I called the dealer and was eventually informed that he was no longer a M G dealer and couldn’t sort out my warranty claim. He could service my car but without AA cover.
He explained that M G wanted him to upgrade his showroom to keep the dealership. He declined because of the cost involved.
I now have to get another dealer to check the problem and reorder the part. The dealer is over 50 miles away. Is MG again clearing out small family dealerships.
