Does anybody recognize this one? (MG Clive's MG4)

Even though it doesn't have the vibe that doesn't mean it won't appear. Knowing what I know I wouldn't touch an mg with a barge pole.

To be honest, I doubt that. If it's not got it now, it's not likely to suddenly appear.
Not impossible, obviously, but very unlikely. 🙂👍

One obvious thing - ask the question, "Does this car suffer from the well-known vibration issue between 65 and 75 mph?" If they say No then that forms part of the contractual agreement, as any information provided during the contractual process forms part of the description of the vehicle. If the car does have the vibes (and maybe not obvious on initial test drive) then you have a clear reason for rejecting it outright for a full refund, as the goods did not match the description.

:)

The vibes are through the steering wheel (so a passenger wouldn't know) it's a similar sensation to using some power tools, e.g. a sander ,where you feel the vibration, and varies in intensity depending on road surface, speed, tyre pressure and luck of the draw (as MG have no definitive cause or solution)

Safe bet imo is to purchase a 24 built model maybe yes a specific 23 model may not have it

but with the whole bunch of parts that have been ordered to fix mine it begs the question that anything built before 24 will it eventually start to vibe ???

As what’s been said the vibe ranges from minor to quite bad but I would also argue on driver’s perception..

For example long time ago I was an apprentice at a Toyota dealership customer kept coming back with a wind noise after a few adjustments the customer kept coming back he was promptly told “dude it’s a Toyota you want a car without wind noise buy a Mercedes “

Point is ( don’t get me wrong the vibe is a fault and a fault should be fixed )
Your buying a cheap car so these things have a limitation of expectation..

Mine has the vibe is minor and does not severely annoy or effect my driving on a day to day basis..

I’m not always on a freeway /motorway as that is where it annoys me the most

But it’s a fault and shouldn’t be there so parts have been ordered to fix it ..

If I’d spent 200k on Porsche ev and it had the vibe I would have promptly returned it

To save possible unnecessary fights that vibe X power owners are having buying a 24 model would be my advise!!

Bring it on M8!

We love a good punch up on here!

My disciplinary record will attest to that.🤣

Agreed with your perception definition.

This is definitely what MG is trotting out. (Amongst everything else.....)
You don't have it.
The car is fine.
You are a bit fik.
We say it's fine so it must be.
Its a characteristic dont cha know.
My names Gary and I cant explain to you why only some of the cars vibe, but trot on anyway, I dont want to speak to you anymore.

I'm just another Fik, problem customer talking out of his assssssss)
Sorry.

I strongly believe that if you have it, you know about it, no matter how insensitive you might be.

And I quote..

I trust that this reply will fully clarify our position regarding this matter.

Read.
You have been told.
You do understand dont you.
There is no more to be said on the matter.

Hello all you Xpower people, first of all, please ignore that picture in my first post, it really doesn't do any justice to how the car looks in real life, as I'm sure any Camden Grey owners will tell you.

So today I saw the car, and what an absolute beauty it is, the styling is lovely, the interior is really very nice, the wheels are amazing (I even don't mind the orange caliper covers), and obviously the power, well that's just phenomenal.

Now, the vibration . . . . . well it's definitely there, it starts at around 68/69mph, and remains until about 74mph, but it's really very minimal, and to be honest, if I hadn't heard about it on here I would have thought nothing of it, but because I knew about it, I was looking for it. For myself, this doesn't represent a problem, yes if there was a fix for it, I'd have the fix, but for me, the good points about this car far outweigh this small niggle, and I couldn't find any other fault with it at all.

So it's now mine, as of this afternoon I'm a fully paid up member of the Xpower Club, and proud of it. I've never been so happy and excited about a car since I drove my brand new Focus RS out of the showroom 15 years ago.(y)🥰😲🥰(y)

Welcome to the X power club ..
Happy motoring!!
Trust me the smile never fades from your first snob ( in an over priced car ) left in your dust till the latest one rolled !!🤣🤣

They're not all snobs I’ve had some really cool races with really cool people ..

But that look on their face of WTF just happened is priceless 🤣🤣🤣🤣

After driving my poverty pack LFP powered MG4, I'd love to buy an XPower and lower it, maybe slightly bigger wheels to fill the guards better, and that pretty new rear bumper with the flash air diffusers ..... and a loan of someone else's license so I could try it out to see just how well it went ;)
Not likely to happen, the wife seems to think 15 cars is enough for anyone to have at the moment, we live in hope :D
