Sorry if this is a silly question but I've searched and can't find an answer.

What do I need to do to enable the grey cars/bikes showing on the left of the drivers display?

I've tried a number of combinations of ACC, TJA and LKA but it never shows anything. I thought it might be because I have an SR but I've seen it in photos of other SRs. An example of the "grey cars" below.

It's going in to the dealer on Wednesday for the oil leak so need to know if I should add this to the list.

I believe this feature uses the windscreen mounted camera. I would check that this is aimed correctly on your car, if it's blocked on not pointing at the road then that could be a reason why the cars are not appearing on the screen.

I still think people need to check that ACC (or TJA) is switched on in the infotainment screen. Unless that's done, nothing will show. I suspect the person who said it used to work and now it doesn't, has switched off the ACC on the central screen. It's the simple explanation.

Mine didn't, at all, and I was confused about where these images were coming from on screenshots of other cars that I was seeing. I asked in the forum and someone told me to select ACC on the infotainment screen. They magically appeared.

You don't have to be using the ACC for them to show, it just has to be selected.

I don't see pedestrians, mind you. Just cars, trucks and bikes.

I can even remember a situation where the car braked (whilst ACC was engaged) due to detecting pedestrians ... I was approaching a right-hand bend in the road, the car saw pedestrians on the pavement (without realising the road bent right) and so applied the brakes as a precaution. The symbol on the driver display was of a pedestrian.

When my car braked suddenly due to a pedestrian appaently being about to walk out into the road, I have genuinely no idea at all what was showing on the screen.

Oh, wait, that might have happened before I was told to select ACC in order to see the icons, in which case nothing would have been showing anyway.

I wonder if it's some sort of variation due to sensor adjustment?
