We had the drivers side wiring loom replaced under warranty on our 2020 ZS EV ( Gen1 ).
The dealer checked for any updates on our car, when I first booked the car in for its service.
The windows were working fine, but they still replaced the loom under MG’s instructions, as they were being paid fo carry out the work.
It did turn out to be a bit of problem however, because when they replaced the loom, the key was very close to the car.
The car detected it as a possible thief and locked down the car !.
The dealer could not stop the car from sounding the alarm and it wiped the code from the key.
They had the car for three days and required the help from MG CS ( plus the spare key from myself ) in order to wake up the car again.
Both keys then needed recoding.
Not a great experience TBH.
This work was required on some early models on the original ZS EV.
I believe the problem was caused by a incorrect routing of the cable, but the fix was to replace the loom regardless if it was faulty or not.
