Hi all

Recently picked up the mg zs ev. Everytime I get to around 100 miles left when I come back to the car after a day in work its dropped to around 88 miles without the car even being on! The a/c isn't on nor have I left the car on.

I noticed looking on some other car forums they've said to Check in the Safety & Security settings if Cabin Overheat Protection is set to ON. You can set Cabin Overheat to No AC or OFF.

Sentry Mode will cause the car to remain awake, use more power than if the car vehicle enters sleep mode.

Does the mg have anything like this?
Has anyone else had a simular problem and how did you overcome it?
Thanks

No i have to had this.

Is the battery percentage the same or has it dropped also ?

Maybe the car does a recalculation of the expected range, based on your latest journey, after you park it.

If you have driven it more aggressively than before, it might adjust the expected range before the next drive.

Or maybe, you knock the car into ECO when you drive, and then it starts up in normal ?

I always change it to echo and only drive in echo so it won't be that

Okay, so both figures are with the eco mode activated.

I know that if i change from eco to normal, the range will drop.

But then again, the percentage will offcourse not.

Do you have a SR model? This has lithium iron phosphate battery chemistry which has a flat charge/discharge curve and therefore the system can have difficulty establishing the exact state of charge leading to difference in readings when switching on/off.

I have the trophy model

That's your problem. Other standard Range drivers on this forum have been experiencing similar problems. When the range get low the opposite happens and doesn't drop for ages.

I think the discrepancies will improve as you put more miles on the car and averaging over a larger data set is established.

are you able to send me the link to the other threads of people who are having the same problems?
