I have had my MG EV Trophy LR for less than 2 weeks and already having a few issues and I'm wondering if they are all connected. The first issue is the ecall system is not working and the icon is red and has been permanently red for days. Then I can connect my phone, android auto, receive calls, I hear the person talk but they can't hear me back. Same happens even when it's just the phone and not using Android auto. And to finish, the app stopped working. It is giving the info from 4 days ago. I am waiting for an appointment at the dealership, but it looks like it's taking g its time until I manage to get one. Has anyone had the same issue? Is there a way to sort this without the dealership's intervention?
Thank you for your support.

i don't pay much attention to SOS eCall as, considering ambulance waiting times, I'm not sure any help would reach me within a week... have you checked the instruction manual? Can't remember lights being green or red (from memory, seen them both on mine but didn't bother me) but it says the system self-checks on start.

About phone connection - from experience - 99% of troubles comes from the phone settings and not the car. Again, check the manual for potential solutions. Try removing the phone from connected devices and pairing again and check call settings are not on mute.

When you say "the app stopped working. It is giving the info from 4 days ago" - what app? MG iSmart? it happens from time to time, depends on signal strength (and luck, I guess...), try refreshing the app by pulling down from top to bottom on the phone screen

I'm assuming you have z ZSEV Mk 2 Trophy LR and not he ZSEV mk2 Trophy LR 'CONNECT' model?
Perhaps, if available, try a different phone to see if it works? Or try your ph9ne on another vehicle to narrow down the problem area.

If it's the SOS then i have ithe signal going on and off sometimes during to poor coverage areas.

Thank you replying 😊
Like you, I don't really care about the SOS call, but I think all 3 issues are connected as this is clearly a connection problem. The ecall system is permanently in failure, I did not change any settings on my phone but I will try on a different car just to be sure. I have unpaired it, paired it again, checked the mute option. And I have refreshed the ismart app, uninstalled it, reinstalled it, logged off, logged in again, and still not connecting to the car. It can't be a coverage issue either, because that would mean other systems and apps would not work either and they do. At the end of the day this is not preventing me to use the car or putting me or others in danger. If anything, it helps with having a good reason for not answering annoying calls! 😂
