Well, I tested the following yesterday on an 86 km trip.
-all sensor at the rear disabled
-blind spot disabled
Then I used Lane Departure Assist and Emergency Lane Keeping mode with various sensitivities.
Purpose: to test what sensors are involved in the two LKA systems, particularly when going back to the previous lane after an overtake.
In general, both modes worked about similar with either sensitivities. High sensitivity definitely alarmed more often and more often unneccesary.
Specifically, when returning to the lane after an overtake (no cars next to me and ahead of me, car faster than the vehicle overtaken, overtake takes place at least 3 seconds after passing, indicator on before approaching lane markers), both LKA modes still provide audio and visual warnings with occasional steering when going back to the initial lane.
Conclusion: LKA overrides the fully disabled rear sensors / warning systems.
Funny thing is it happens in LDA mode as well. This does not fit the description of LDA at all, which is basically the classic LKA intervention mode using the front camera only.
