Just had my first fight with a Tesla driver queueing at John Lewis Cribbs Causeway.
I've used these chargers about 4 times now and there's always been around half a dozen chargers free when I arrived.
Today, full ?.
Not being familiar with the protocol here I accidentally pushed in... No honest, genuine misunderstanding.
He ( understandably) started papping his horn and yelling at me. We had a quick 'discussion'. I realised the error of my ways, pulled out of the bay, indicating he could have it, to whit he responded "nah, you take it".
So i did BUT karma kicked in and it took me half a dozen goes to get it going ?.
Currently got the 2 screens going as attached....

I'm up to one Tesla and one Polestar driver so far.

My first was with a sanctimonious twonk telling me I was at the 'wrong' chargers!

"These are just for Teslas" he said.

"Your chargers are further down there" .......7kW plug ins.

Oh thanks I said, then proceeded to plug in next to him, set it going, then fooked off.
Yes I did enjoy the look on his face. ??

I've had the opposite at those same chargers. Had a Tesla driver try to push in front of me while I was queueing, but I saw what was about to happen and quickly moved my car in front of the bay that had just been vacated. At times those chargers are VERY popular. There are more Tesla chargers open to all very close by at their used Tesla outlet. Then another set a bit further away at Burger King, Eastville.

$$ Dollars $$ ??

I know, right?
Every time I started it, it'd end up on that screen with "lost connection to charger" message. It was showing as charging happily in the car though so I left it to it and it was fine.
Thought I'd got away with a £2 charge for half a tank when I looked at the history but it must've been one of my failed attempts as a £15 one turned up a bit later, dagnabbit!! and in ££££ to boot ?

My Tesla Starship just landed on my front drive and was grabbed with some chopsticks.?
To be honest I will test drive a Tesla for the next (family) car for my wife although she is put off by Space Karen and his views. If only the MG4 had a bigger boot. I will probably get her a Kia.

This is one of the biggest differences between fuelling an EV and an ICE car. ICE fuelling is usually done in a linear one way system and EV charging is done on a random access system.

Only ever had a issue once when I didn't realise there was a queue but soon resolved once the queuing protocol was explained to me.

To be fair i usually space my charge stops so I am not there any longer than 30 minutes anyway. This means in most cases I spend less time at the Tesla chargers than the Tesla owners.

At Weetons in Harrogate it was to wait in a parking bay next to the Tesla chargers until someone left. Suspect it is totally random depending on the people in the queue on the day.
I guess you're right, not as easy as queueing for petrol, 'pick your pump then curse the fact you picked the one where where the person in front can't find their card/has never seen a fuel pump before/sits in their car after fuelling for ages adjusting their seat, mirror or hair before driving off'.
Much easier to wake up to a full tank at home!

I don't often use public charging so have never queued, only used open Tesla a couple of times, the first time was busy and I took the last available bay, the other was trying out a V4 with only one other bay in use.

Just back from a week in France. New Tesla V4 chargers at Villedieu. 16 of them. Each placed central to the parking bay! All empty both times I used them. Only argument I had was when it was pouring with rain and the Ionitys didnt work. For a few moments I forgot I haven't got a Tesla and tried to plug in to a 'Tesla only' charger. It wouldn't play. And wouldn't release either. Fortunately there seems to be a default release for plonkers... Wife won the argument...
