Fitting new reg plates. A couple of queries.

Not being biased at all but I think the red looks the best.

What you need to finish off the wonky front plate is a couple of black screw caps. £2.99 from Amazon
That's me confused ?. The proper answer to 'enhancing' the front plate wonkiness is white screw caps, like my earlier dry run pic.
The final, legal and official pic has black caps.
....unless I'm missing something ? ( loose screws usually).

To my eye Dave, Yes, the caps are an issue, but your front plate, looking at it, is slightly lower on the RHS.

Only a few mm to be sure, but I couldn't live with it.
Hence "Being On The Wonk!" ?

I can handle a few mil ( as my wife has regularly told me over the last 35 years ?, bless her ) .
I was querying Ians recommendation to go with black caps after I'd already swapped to black caps ? . ?. I was briefly wondering if a second set, stacked, might adjust the few mil .... see? confused. ... I really shouldn't be driving, should I? ( rhetorical)

Black caps is definitely the way to go m8.?

It's very easy to put right if you want to do it.

Just take the plate off and on the RHS use a fast drill to just drop the hole a couple of mm.

IE put your running drill in the hole and move down gently to elongate the hole.

Thus giving you the flexibility to line it up exactly when tightening it back up.

Thanks for that, much appreciated ?.
However, such are my 'skills' that the current mil will turn into inches if i try that... and I back that up with knowledge gained through a lifetime of experience ???.

I'm taking the '24 to the limit - might go and park on the local Waitrose carpark until midnight Sat eve ?.

Note to self - must tell dvla, insurers AND dealer and AA ??. ( Hence the can it be done on a Sunday question. Think yhe important stuff dvla & insurance is automated so should be fine )

I know it looks like it's on the wonk but honestly, it's not. Think it might be everything else ( planet down) .

The screws - OCD anyone ? ?
shall I? shan't I?
Insurance is not automated. You need to inform them.
