foot brake

are all ZS foot brakes soft and seem to travel a long way, or is it just mine?

Mine seems no different to any other car I've owned.
The pedal starts off solid then sinks a little bit upon start up on my ZS.
SWMBO's MG5 pedal is very soft and sinks quite a bit on start up but her brakes feel sharper when driving.
Maybe it's just down to how the parking brake is adjusted ?

If it's the same as the MG5, the degree of assistance is determined by the driving mode you are in so that can create a different feel.

my foot brake seems to travel about 1-2 ins before it starts to brake , sometimes making me press a bit harder throwing everyone forward.

Could be a whole host of things, fluid leak, servo misbehaviour, air in the lines, pad issues. Really worth taking it to the dealer when it comes to brakes if you're not comfortable.
