Front Camera Blocked

My last Mercedes was tinted at the front windscreen makes a lot of difference.. makes the front sides look darker too. The ZS screen is no where near that... Never got pulled up by Birmingham police (notorious for ripping off tints and fining) in the 7 years of driving it.

Edit
Because it makes the fronts sides look darker...other people get darker fronts (without windscreen) thinking others are doing it, so should be ok to get away with it .. but they don't..cops pull them up usually within a few days of getting them

That looks really nice. My sons BMW has this look and I was thinking of the same thing for the ZS before I bought it. A job for the spring.

I was once pulled by the police and after asking where i'd been ,where i was going ,is it my car ,had i been drinking ,then he asked my name .when i told him he shouted to his colleague 'this is him we've been looking for, we've got him .GULP . Then he asked me if he could book some driving lessons for his son cos i had been recommended to him .

It is a camera that sees lines on the road and cars ahead .there is no screen for the driver. Think of it more as a sensor

It is at the middle top of the windscreen and works together with a sensor under the front bumper for MG pilot etc

I am thinking to get windows tinted including front windscreen ,70% light thru is allowed.
Would i affect the camera or radar?
I wouldn't have thought so but just confirming.
i would assume that anything that reduces visibility (light penetration) will reduce the cameras effective range, i also suspect that MG will void warranty on camera issues using that as the reason!

If you did tint the windscreen wouldn’t it be on the inside and not cover the camera area anyway?
I agree, I would expect that the tinter would trim around the camera and the black speckled area of the windscreen anyway.
