Great day out with your MG? Post up a picture ?

I’ve spoken to many folk here in the USA about cars and motorcycles for the last few weeks.
When I’ve mentioned my 1954 BSA Golden Flash bike it’s brought forth stories of nostalgia and oil leaks.
When I’ve spoken of MGs it’s garnered tales of Migets and Bs / BGTs and even a twin cam MGA looking like new in a photograph.
I’ve spoken of and shown pictures of my electric Chinese MG5 there’s been genuine amazement and interest. When I’ve told them the price they’ve been jealous but bring out the anti ev rhetoric big time.
So it’s been great fun pointing out to them that I found charge points in obscure places like a bank of Tesla chargers in little back woods town (village) Santa Ysabel and pointing out that they’ve already got Granny charger suitable sockets in their house- ? amazing

Mary’s Beach, Bargara, Coral Coast Queensland. Still recovering from Tropical Cyclone Oswald in 2013. Dogs don’t go well here but fish are protected apparently. So are turtles in the 6 km² marine sanctuary called Mon Repos (Rest Place) donated by the French.

You're on your way to the Lewis? Hopefully going to see the Standing Stones of Callanish. Or maybe Uig Sands Beach to see the ‘Chessmen’ monument. Both stunning. I went via the original Isle of Skye ferry. What a great place ?

Not yet - that was actually my daughter’s photograph that she sent almost at the same time yours arrived. I’m waiting for the next scheduled glint of tropical McSunshine ??

Ahh yes sadly no amount of the mist or the water of life can conjure up much romanticism from “Over the bridge to Skye” and anyway I doubt if Flora had a license to drive over it with a Bonnie MG. …???

Should I stop now ??

Not until I get to point out that Flora's sail was from Uist to Skye and the bridge would have been bugger all use to her. I don't know her precise embarkation or landing point though.

(I did try to look these up during a choir practice which involved some seriously geographically challenged and non-standard words to the Skye Boat Song, but couldn't find the information.)

I was planning to head north yesterday but the weather window closed. Yesterday was horrible today is worse. I'm hoping to go next weekend but we'll see.
Aye the rain falleth on this place below here too so I’ll wait a bit before initiating the escape plan. My Kiwi niece has just announced her plan to come over, land in Glasgow, climb Ben Nevis, visit the Red Squirrel campsite in Glen Coe then climb to Everest base camp via Inverness, Aberdeen, York and London on her way home. I might need to meet her in the Clachaig pub with a tent she can borrow ??

She hasn't exactly picked the best time! If yesterday was bad, today is worse. My solar has been grumbling along at less than 400 watts for most of the morning. It's barely supporting the house, and the battery is struggling to charge above 98%. The rain is currently battering down on the conservatory roof, making such a racket that I'll be forced to move to the living room if this goes on. The solar did top 600 watts momentarily, but it's back down to 332 watts and the deluge has redoubled its efforts. Really glad I didn't go anywhere! Central heating probably about to go back on.

Not necessarily a great day out, but rather just a couple of photos I took of my MY23 MG4 Standard, in Diamond Red.

Am I OK to share this here or is there a more appropriate thread for simply showing off your car?

I think you can do what you like in this thread, although there are several threads for showing off your car as well!

Your car looks fabulous, but if I may say so, looking at the above thread, fangs and a black badge would make it look even more fabulous.

Looks great!
A bit of off road too, you’ll need to join the ‘car wash’ thread ?

Thank you.

I appreciate the suggestions. I've been considering those two modifications even before I actually had the car in my possession but I was never 100% sure about either of them, being completely honest.

Also, this being a company car, I think I'd rather steer away from doing any exterior modifications.

Of course you can!

I was showcasing kettles for V2L much earlier in the thread!
