Gridserve at Leigh Delamere

Leigh Delamere only has ONE, yes ONE charge point and guess what it was occupied!
Tesla nearly always have 8 charge points, so why does Gridserve think we can manage with just ONE?!
It is a joke!
Back in May, Leigh Delamere had ZERO ccs. One is an improvement....

I tell you what, both of you have more control of your temper than I do !.
Let's just say, I don't suffer fools lightly and he WAS a absolute fool !.
I would have offered him the difference in cash and ask him NICELY to move it, if he refused I would have hit the STOP button on the charger first, then told him you not going to need that charge anyway, as you are about to get a free ride in an ambulance - BANG !.
Crikey, how many ASBOs have you had. ;)
In my youth, I would probably have been the same, but now at 68, pretty overweight and unfit, I take a calmer approach, on the other hand, had he been a scrawny little git I might have had a go :ROFLMAO:

I heard that Tesla might be opening up their network to the public, in the name of speeding up EV take up. Probably on a dual tariff system, low price for them, high price for us. But would be great to have the safety net of 8 working chargers to choose from!

According to EVNewsDaily [ edit: in the opinion of the host, Martyn Lee ], that will never happen to the vast majority of sites. One or two here and there where Tesla can pick up some grant money perhaps.

But I'd be very happy to be proved wrong... ?

I know this is a bit tongue in cheek, but charger rage is really something to be avoided at all costs.

On my few long distance trips, there is enough stress in wondering whether the targeted charger is working, and if there is a queue. Last thing I would want is rage and arguments at the charging site...

Not good for driving on a motorway..

It seems to be on Tesla's agenda, some time in the future.

I was watching a video only last night with Martyn Lee / EV Nick and Fully Charged Bobby L.
This very subject popped up in conversation.
He admitted that although it was a great idea generally for all EV drivers, he felt a little disgruntled as a Tesla driver at this prospect.
EV Nick ( also a Tesla owner ) nodding his head in agreement with Bobby.
Martyn does not own a Tesla OBTW.
He also said - He thought it was likely that Tesla would choose certain manufacture to get into bed with.
He also remarked that HE thought ? it would likely to be the likes of Merc !.

Blimey , a bit severe that , but understand , I must be going soft In my old age
Was charging mine on Sunday at a free Engie and a Tesla turned up,only had a short time left so let the chap on and asked why he didn't use a Supercharger 5 mins away and he said they were very expensive , thought Teslas were free so that surprised me , then this thread pops up
I suppose we are lucky in West Yorkshire with plenty of free vends

I quickly get angry ? with people who are either totally selfish or just plain stupid to be honest !.
Example:- Yesterday we parked at our local M&S store.
It has a single 7kw Pod Point post that is on free vend.
Their is a Peugeot ( PHEV ) plugged in and charging and I guy on his phone.
As I pass him, I tell him the post is free vend ( thinking he was trying to contact Pod Point to activate the unit ).
He explains that he is complaining that one side of the post is not working and he has complained to Pod Point a number of weeks ago.
Behind his car, is a guy in a VW e.Golf wanting to charge.
I explain to the guy in the e.Golf that there is another post about 5 mins away.
He is low on charge and has a 60 miles trip home to make.
I then turn back to the guy in the PHEV and ask him WHY he does not offer the charger to the guy in the e.Golf.
He then tells me that he lives only 10 miles away and is sitting on 16 miles of range left in his battery !!!!!.
I told him he should have better sense and let the e.Golf charge.
He said :- “I always charge here at this time because it’s free”.
He was very proud of his new PHEV and stuck out his chest !.
I told him he had a LOT to learn about EV ownership and then said I would have asked him to move over, or I would unplugged his car, if he would not have agreed to move it !.
What an absolute TOOL !.
Oh ….. His petrol tank was full also.
Selfish bugger.
